I had such an enjoyable stay at Dar Afram. Abdul the owner and Issan who helps him and his two women helpers were such warm and welcoming hosts. The Riad has such a great vibe and I felt at home the whole time. The dinners were really good and the place is really funky and full of character. I am... More

We stayed for two nights, it was a nice house with large clean rooms. The staff were welcoming. The breakfast on the terrace was nice. The terrace also has good views over the sea. Most guests ate dinner together, its a friendly place and good to meet people.

We stayed for 2 nights on our way back to London. The riad is right in the heart of the old city, the owner made us feel welcome and supported from the moment we booked. The place is lovely and homely and to top it off we were serenaded with fabulous music whilst being fed wholesome home cooking. Defiantly a... More

My partner and I spent just short of a week in dar afram and every minute was thoroughly enjoyable, we felt extremely welcomed from the moment we arrived. To stay at the Riad "Dar Afram" was a really nice adventure, Abdul and his Wife Doris get us a really warm welcome. We eat together with other guests lunch or dinner with "candlenight" feeling and always great music in the background. Its also possible to play music there or paint pictures on walls, we also had the pleasure to... More

Dar Afram is an interesting place to say the least. Within the first hour of our stay, I heard our host (Tarek) tell another American guest that there were some other Americans there but they weren't " you know, cool" and were some young people traveling with their parents. As one of said young people, I would argue that my... More

My husband and I stayed at Dar Afram for two nights and had a great stay. It is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Nabil met us down the street to make sure we could find it and was helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Dar Afram feels inviting and has a culture of music and community. The location is excellent.

I had a fantastic stay at here. No wonder the place is considered as a "rare to find". I couldn't have asked for better, very friendly and personal atmosphere(unlike the functional and big hostels), good musics, loft top with a ocean view, and kind staff. I can say everything was just perfect. I really enjoyed chats with the staff -... More

We stayed four nights towards the end of Ramadan. The lovely Nabil met us from our taxi and showed us the way, very helpful as its easy to get lost! Our room was enormous, clean and had lots of character. The roof terrace was a lovely place to have breakfast, nicer and more substantial than anywhere else we stayed. Nabil... More

Dar Afram is a nice Riad in the medina. The location is great, close to everything but far enough from the noise. The Riad is really big, with lots of rooms and an amazing roof terrace. The staff were always helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable but it lacked atmosphere. We visited during Ramadan so it wasn't very busy, and... More
