I can't believe it's not ranked higher. A 1920s classic. Wonderful owner and staff especially Sadio and Malik. It's about a 45 minute walk into town but only a three dollar taxi ride. Nice size swimming pool. The restaurant is excellent. Some of the best food during my three weeks in Morocco. Very peaceful.

Our little family, with 2 year old daughter, Mum and Dad, really enjoyed our few days at Tangaro. The service was friendly, but relaxed, The food was good, with particularly enjoyable breakfasts. I would say you'd enjoy it more if you think of it as the top end of budget than as a boutique hotel. We had a couple of...

Spent 4 days alone, and it was a great time. Great pool, and the wind doesnt bother a lot: in fact it helps to not melt in the sun. Restaurant had really good food, everyone was very helpful, for example when asking for taxis organizing a camel ride and so on. Also did the Namaste day: yoga, massage and Hammam....

So many great things to say about this place. Before I start I think it's important to note that it's not a typical 'hotel' or 'resort' style place. It's rustic, authentic and charming. If you only do plush luxury hotels (they have a time and place) this won't be for you. We really enjoyed Tangaro - it's the type of...

Having stayed at Tangaro back in October, we have already booked our return trip. This place was such a lovely find, we loved everything this place offered, from the relaxed laid back vibe, to the food and authenticity of the hotel and spa. Tangaro has a wonderful decor with traditional moroccan charm and style mixed with a quirky more contemporary...

Altough we had high expectations for this hotell, I don't think it's too exaggerate that this place is not to recommend. With no upheated swimmingpool, with sauna/hammam not working, and altough at appearance a place where one could endulge in music activities,no working instruments available, isolated from town and beach, this place made a poor impression on us. In Januar...

Tangaro has bags of offbeat charm and character, justifying its place as a 'Hip Hotel'. Having read a recent negative review, it is important to understand its great qualities, as the description provided by this website is rather generic. If you are looking to be pampered in a five-star hotel filled with mod-cons, look elsewhere now. It was precisely this...

After reading all the good rewiews on Trip Advisor and seeing the great pictures on Booking.com we booked eight nights here. We arrived at 9 pm. Felt like we came to a ghost hotel! It was pretty dark with wery little light outside. There were almost no guests and the place was about to fall apart. The paint was litterally...

We were spending some days in the magnificient Sofitel Golf nearby. We unexpectedly found this lovely place walking around, and we fell in love with it. It is the contrary to a professional, well-managed hotel, and it still can bring you feelings that you would not get in the 5 star Sofitel (which, I insist, is amazing). Maybe it is...

Auberge Tangaro was the perfect getaway for me - I was after somewhere quiet and relaxing, but still close to the centre of activity. The grounds are beautiful. Well maintained and spacious. There are tall gumtrees providing plenty of shade, and also lots of space by the pool in the sun. There are day beds dotted around allowing one a...
