Villa Garance is a small boutique villa, beautifully furnished, with each room having different decor. The villa is owned and run by two French sisters and they have certainly brought their French sophistication to the place! Our room was lovely, with a metal four-poster bed and a small, long room leading to the street. The villa is immacculately clean, and we...

Me and my husband enjoyed our stay at this Wonderful Riad. Our room was unique and charming with moroccan furniture. Christine and all the other staff made us feel so welcome. When we arrived they made us mint tea and we had a nice chat. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was lovely, it was arranged on...

First impression was not good. We were taken down a narrow alley off of one of the main streets in the medina, which had rubbish in plastic bags at the entrance. Narrow alleys in the medina are common though. An old, wooden door opened out onto a grand reception area of what had been at some time, an elegant house....

Stayed here for 3 nights in March. The Riad is in an excellent location, it is stunningly decorated, the rooms are comfortable, clean and of a good size. I checked trip advisor whilst in Morocco and visited a couple of Riads in the top 10, but found this one by chance, am so glad i did. Would not hesitate to...

A beautiful atmospheric hotel. We stayed in room 3,decorated in a Moroccon style with lovely lights and a shower cubicle that felt like Dr Who`s tardis. The room overlooked the school, but the pupils are quiet. A little noisier when it is home time but not a problem. The owners could not have been friendlier or more helpful, indeed this applies...

We stayed at Villa Garance for 4 nights and had a lovely time, the owners and staff where very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them, the riad is clean, and has a lot of character and colour, it has a lovely roof terrace and is well located in the Medina, it also has a very playful cat,...

This Riad is lovely, very homely with a definite female touch. The decoration had been well thought out, room was small (room 6) but perfectly formed and kept clean each day with a large comfortable bed. We were on the 1st floor and had balcony doors which opened so we could watch the street below. There is a school opposite,...

A wonderful riad run by a delightful team. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a gentle morrocan style that ouzes calmness and serenity. The staff are deligtful and cope well with bumbling "english" french. Mint tea is on tap and always delivered with a smile. Great location with a 5 minute walk to anywhere you would want to go.

This is a very nice property - the owners and staff are lovely, they have cosy fires going in winter, the rooms are well decorated and clean with nice bathrooms, and it is very centrally located. The only real negative is that there is a school opposite, so the rooms at the front can be noisy during the day, but...

Villa Garance is a charming, spacious riad, beautifully decorated inside, with bags of history and charm, and is located in a small street in the heart of the Medina, only a short walk from the ramparts and the Atlantic ocean. You will be truly delighted with everything that Villa Garance had to offer: elegant, clean and large bedrooms (10 single, double, twin or for families up to 5 people, from 15 to 35 m²); the large roof terrace with distant sea views, where a delicious and hearty homemade breakfast is served in the sunshine, where you can have sunbathe with a book throughout the day; and the charming and helpful owners Marie and Pierre, who are extremely friendly and give you lots of information on the history of Essaouira along with recommendations for restaurants and activities. All bedrooms are heated, with private bathroom, and have large windows except two of them which give access to a bright patio. Lunch, diner and massage can be arranged. ... more   less
