I can only recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who wants to spend a really wonderful holiday with a certain exclusivity. For us it was really a dream – vacation. The location, and the direct shallow sandy beach in front of the “ door ” is simply fantastic. There were always enough loungers on the beach so you didn't have to worry about not getting one. The facility is overall extremely clean and well maintained. Everywhere you go, you meet employees who take care of the palm trees, green spaces and beds all the time.
In total, there are four restaurants that differ in themes and regions. Dinners in the main restaurant as well as in the beachfront Beach Rouge are included as part of the half board. The other two restaurants the " Duck Laundry and Amari must be paid extra. The food is indescribably delicious and very varied. The view at breakfast from the main restaurant to the pool and sea is unique and in the evening with lighting. The staff is very attentive and friendly and they fulfill every wish. Here the “ guest ” is in the foreground and nobody gives you the feeling that this is just put on, but this is simply lived in the lux. This makes it special. When Ravin talks to us or the other guests and always asks for satisfaction, you feel really well taken care of. You could say now that is his job, I call it calling and since the general manager Mr Hecker lives it the same way, this is probably called calling and “concept ”. The Beach Rouge with its small exclusive menu and the flair on the beach was always a pleasant place for us to eat. As already written, all the employees are courteous, friendly and really try hard, yet there are always professionals who let you enjoy the stay a little more. Dear Yogesh, Sawan, Sheiyaadh, Julio, Rohan, Kamlesh and Armit, you have made this stay truly special for us. We wish you never forget the fun, even if it gets stressful. The smallest room of the complex is 60 sqm and nicely decorated. Flat screen, huge bed, bathroom and everything clean. There is nothing to complain about here either and if there is, it will surely be stopped as soon as you have uttered it. We recommend any “all inclusive” because as on any island in the Indian Ocean, the goods must be imported, which is reflected in the price. We wish that this courteous, friendly just wonderful service the lived concept is never abandoned due to optimizations.
You could write so many more things like the bar, live music, SPA and sports and the associated possibilities, but somewhere the surprise on site should also have some fun for the guests after us.

If you want a beautiful beach with great service and quality, then Lux* Belle Mare is the place to be.
We were overwhelmed by the friendliness of all the staff at each location in the hotel (reception staff, bartenders, restaurant staff, chambermaids, gardeners,...).
Our overall experience regarding the hotel, the room, the surroundings, swimming pool, beach, garden,..), overall cleanliness, wellness center, entertainment and all-in service is better than we expected. Also all toilets were well maintained, even those on the beach. Every 15 minutes a clean check was done.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius that were also maintained. On the beach there were always sun loungers available during the day: no early birds laying towels. At the pool it is busier but there is also a small "adult zone".
The All-in is of high quality and in the selection of drinks on offer there is plenty of choice but above all they are very well cared for and tasty. The buffet in Mondo in the evening was varied and if you want to get to know another cuisine this is the right place. A snack late in the day in both Beach Rouge and Royce Street is also possible and ice creams at ICI are super tasty.
The rooms are spacious and from your terrace you can listen to the birds in the morning. Although there is a dressing room, (an) extra cabinet(s) with sliders could be placed opposite the bed.

We had a car parked outside j the hotels car park for free. The holiday at Lux Mauritius was an unprecedentedly positive experience! to start with the hotel and its gardens are so beautifully landscaped that you will be amazed when you walk across the just kept hotel grounds. The staff are incredibly helpful, respectful and friendly! no service goes too far, always a smile and the willingness to help. The food is also of unprecedented high quality, every day was a party. In addition, the helpfulness at the reception by Alisha and her colleagues, unwise many compliments to her. What a winner!
At Bar we want to give an extra thank you to Bilall for his generous smile and his willingness to deliver an incredibly good service.
The room is normally done once a day or even once every 2 days, as we have noticed at many other hotels. Not at Lux, here your room is just done twice a day. Standard 1x a day a complete cleaning where everything is organized. And for the evening you get new towels, your bed is opened, slippers are placed etc. again unprecedented service!
The names that have stuck with us anyway for providing exceptional service are in addition to the names I have already mentioned: YaskVeer, Krissan, Jeven, Rooy, Sawan and of course Bilall and Alisha.
We will definitely be back here, Mauritius has a lot to offer besides this top hotel, the boat excursion to a desert island with a beautiful beach. The island was a bit bigger than we had previously imagined and that just means we have to come back and see the rest again. The rum distillery of Chamarel was definitely worth it, the beaches are wonderfully long and it is gradually getting deeper, also very nice that there are no dangerous animals living on the island and that the water is so safe within the reef.
All in all, this was an unprecedented experience that we did not want to miss. We have become fans of the hotel and the island. We also adopted a little stray puppy on our last holiday day, which comes to us after quarantine time, and will give us a lasting beautiful memory of Mauritius.

We started at Lux Belle Mare for one week and it exceeded every expectation we had. We are regular visitors to Mauritius and Lux Belle Mare is definitely one of the best hotels on the island.
From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at home and they were accommodating and friendly. The first room assigned to us had a slight humidity problem and Umesh the brilliant manager at the front desk promptly resolved the issue and moved us to another room with no hesitation. Worth special mention was Hema, Flavia, Faiz and Elvis at the front desk who all made us feel so welcome.
The room was beautiful and big enough for four of us, there were plenty of towels provided and the bed was extremely comfortable with massive down feather pillows. The rooms are also well insulated from noise so we slept very well.
The kids club was wonderful and our children enjoyed every day spent there, the staff were brilliant, with special thanks to Usha, Ashwanee and Oralee. Activities ranged from pizza making, to crab hunting, movie nights, arts and crafts. It was a great way of keeping the kids entertained (and cool) during long, hot days.
The highlight of the resort is undoubtedly the food which is of an impeccable standard. Even for someone who doesn’t love buffets, we found this buffet satisfied every craving we had and the quality was exceptional. From the fresh pastries at breakfast to the incredible curries at dinner, the buffet has something for everyone. Beach Rouge offers great meals with an unmatched view of the beach, although it can be incredibly hot on the patio. The pizzas were delicious. The Royce Street food truck is very cool and serves great, unpretentious street food that you can take to the beach or pool. We also ate at Duck Laundry which served one of the best peking ducks I’ve ever had. The cocktails at all the bars were delicious and well made.
It’s hard to find any fault with such a lovely resort and we will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at Lux Belle Mare for an unforgettable holiday.

Faultless location on one of the most idyllic beaches on the east coast. The resort itself is luxurious and expansive with a beautiful large pool and all the expected amenities for a 5 star experience.
All staff are courteous and professional and management were prompt and polite about resolving a minor issue we had with our charges.
The rooms are immaculate and very well laid out with ample space, a very comfortable bed and an in-room drinks bar. Soundproofing in the rooms is good and very little outside noise filters through. Our thanks to Babita and the the team handling housekeeping for being so thorough and attentive.
We spent every day on the beach and it is for sure the most fabulous aspect of this resort. Deck chairs aplenty, superb water access, prompt beach service and a multitude of water activities if that's your jam. Shout out to Vishal on beach service who kept us watered and happy every day.
Dining was always a positive experience and thanks go to Julio at Monde for his excellent service as well as Anoorag at Royce Street (where you HAVE to try the chicken katsu burgers, they are phenomenal!).
The LUX Spa is a must do activity. We partook in the sauna and associated facilities every day and it was such a pleasure to unwind and detox. All the ladies working at the spa are so friendly and everyone we saw coming out of the treatment rooms looked like they were on cloud 9. It also boasts a truly top notch gym and offers yoga and other wellness activities.
To summarize, this location cannot be beat and the resort is luxurious without being pretentious. I'd recommend going slightly off peak for a quieter time especially at the pool as the kids pool is attached to the main pool so it does get quite busy during the day. That being said, I don't think there will ever be a bad time of year to visit LUX Belle Mare!

We've spent 9 days days in LuxBelle Mare and woo this was a dreaming week...
Everything was just fantastic : we had an ocean villa and it was perfect to enjoy perfect family moments around the private pool. Mahen, the majordome was there to answer all our wishes and make our stay unforgettable. We had daily apéritif served at the villa even for kids and activities like snorkeling were organized with him very easily. The room was cleaned twice a day with fresh towels and sheets, Benji was there to ensure the room was cleaned when we were out, he made special sculptures with the towels for the kids :-)
The hotel has several very good restaurants but the main one with buffets was just incredible : all the food was fantastic with a huge quality of the products and a huge diversity of meals every days !!
The beach of the hotel is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, the water is very calm, it was possible for us to swim like in a 50m pool ;-)
Also, when we arrived in the morning, Suren who is responsible for the villa area, gave us directly the possibility to stay in villa without waiting the afternoon.
All I can say is that this hotel is just the best we've stayed in and that all the staff is oustanding !!

- The decor and layout is luxurious and inviting - even down to the heavenly scent in the lobby. - The staff are welcoming, very competent, helpful and the perfect level of friendly and chatty. They really want you to have a great time. - The food is exceptional - everything we ate was delicious, whether the buffet for breakfast/dinner (insane amount of high quality options), the beach restaurant, 'snack truck', ice cream bar, patisserie (OMG... I made an instagram post solely of all the stunning patisserie I ate that week) and coffee bar (fab coffee), or the special restaurants. Super impressed. - Unlike many all inclusives, you don't feel remotely like they are skimping on a captive audience - the alcoholic drinks were very nice and plentiful. - The rooms are spotless, even nicer in person than in photos, properly furnished and with delightful beds. - Pool is beautiful. Beach is stunning, soft white sand, with a broad area that acts as this lovely safe paddling zone. - Gym is compact and great with all the equipment you need, even if you are quite into your exercise (as it is good to be there in order to be able to enjoy as much of the food as you can). Even tennis courts and games area too. - Spa was wonderful - lovely massages, and the steam room/sauna/cold plunge etc were blissful.
Everything felt hospitable, generous and high quality. It feels really like the whole place has been thoroughly thought out by someone who has predicted what you might want before you even realise it yourself. I can't think of any negatives.
We have already booked our return trip!

Lux Belle Mare is looking absolutely stunning post refurb! The attention to detail around the resort makes them stand out from the rest on the island. Their focus is on experiences and nothing here is short of that. From dining, to daily curated kids activities as well as activities for adults which go above the normal resort offering. Their beach is picturesque and stunning for kids to splash around in. This is a perfect hotel for families - rooms are spacious and luxurious, dining options for kids are unlimited - even babies are catered for with their Purée options. Their pool has cascading steps for the little ones and seperate deeper pool for adults. Food options from buffet style ( but not your normal Buffett - imagine luxury harvest tables ) to fine dining by Michelin Star chef . They are nothing short of options here at Luxe Belle Mare. Make sure you also add in a morning at the Spa! I had one of the best massages by the lovely Nofa - she tackled my sciatic issue exactly as requested. Overall I felt that this resort had a happy upbeat tempo feel to it, modern and luxurious offerings with wonderful and friendly staff. Leaving here with a full heart and already looking to return with the whole family.

This is our first trip to Mauritius and the lux belle mare was beautiful. It is often difficult to meet instagram expectations however this hotel and its friendly staff exceeded them.
The beach is sensational, staff make every effort to keep the grounds pristine so that you are walking on soft sand and swimming in pristine waters.
There is waterskiing, kyack, snorkelling and paddle boarding/ dinghy sailing a plenty.
We were fortunate to stay in the ocean villas. These are brand new, built at the corner of the hotel where it is quiet and calm. It comes with a private heated swimming pool that is 1.3m deep and ideal for the kids in the morning and into evening/after dark.
We chose this room because the children could sleep in a separate room, however they came with all sorts of additional luxuries.
Firstly the butler service; Mahen was our butler for most of the week. He secured last minute bookings at restaurants, hid treats for the children, bought canapés and petit fours each night. The hotel is often fully booked and therefore the butler service ensured we didn’t have to spend time negotiating spaces.
Secondly, there is a calmer section of the beach reserved for villa guests. This ensured we had seafront beds metres from the sea each day, without placing a bag first thing. Giresh was our beach attendant and remembered and catered for everything. From sunglasses cleaning, snacks and impromptu cocktails or mock tails. He even supplied beach toys for the children.
The hotel is ideal for children (ours were 4 and 6), they loved PLAY and both the swimming pool and the sea are extremely child friendly.
We ventured to Flaque market on Sunday, the botanical gardens and took a day yacht tour with Oceanis. These were all excellent outings. They were perfect mini excursions with (slightly lazy) children ensuring we didn’t feel confined to the resort alone.
