I would echo all the previous reviews. Yes this place is out of the way, and in a completely different spot to the big resorts in Damai. But that is exactly the reason for choosing it, it's very intimate and relaxing, there's no kids around and you feel like you're experiencing something closer to Malaysian culture. We didn't find the...

This small hotel is one of nicest we stayed in while in Sarawak. Our arrival was also odd as we were given a barrage of rules as our welcome, from a very efficient hotelier who was very friendly and welcoming after we checked in. The young waiter was very good and he tried to manage the hospitality functions single handedly....

The Village House is north of Kuching in Santubong penninsula. It is not easy to find. We hired a car with satnav. The satnav couldn't get signal and neither could google maps. We asked several locals and found it down an unmarked road behind an unmarked gate. It is a secret hideaway! Once you have found it you will appreciate...

This hotel is everything the reviews make out - nice atmosphere, very relaxing, good food, lovely pool, great areas for chilling out. The even do a pretty good mojito and a very nice pina colada made with fresh pineapple. We had a Rajah room which costs more, but comes with a large sitting area, a TV and private terrace with...

Me and my wife stayed there for 3 days, the first days of our honeymoon. It was one of the best accommodation of our Malaysian trip, it was super! Very relaxing and quiet! The staff was very helpful and the food is very good. The room is simple but very cool and romantic, the bath clean and... most of all...

We stayed here for a few days whilst in Borneo on a recommendation. It is a beautiful & chilled place to stay with high standards; if you're willing to pay the extra for the larger rooms it's definitely worth it. The staff organised our trips for us & gave good advice, which helped us make the most of our time...

We stayed in this hotel for two nights after our interesting visit to the Iban people in the jungle. We really could relax in this hotel as it is such a quite place. The hotel has a nice small pool and some little areas around the pool to sit. The rooms are very nice and quite big. Unfortunately there is...

Was really surprised of the plc. Although its hidden but that ensures privacy. If you're looking to relax & chill this is the right plc to be. Really wished I stayed an extra night just to fully enjoy the hotel. Some advice: Bring insect repellent & call ahead for guide to the place.

Stayed here with my wife and son aged 9 for 3 days and had a lovely peaceful time. The staff are all well trained and it shows with the great service and amazing food on offer, we did the tasting menu one evening and all the courses were superb with good culinary skills on display. We stayed in the end...

Are you ready for a tranquil getaway without wailing babies, a karaoke bar, gift shops or even a tv in your room? The village house is the perfect place for a peaceful holiday. They have a medium sized swimming pool, an activity room (board games, book, a tv) and a bar. Other than that, its just you, your thoughts and...
