Spent my weekend at batu bata. Nice located next to 7eleven carpenter street. Walking distance to many visit spots. Warm and sweet hospitality from the staff. Clean and cosy bedroom with nice Borneo decor lounge area. Definitely will come back!

A nice, clean and quiet questhouse in ideal location if you plan to explore Kuching and surrounding areas. It is on a street with several good cheap restaurants and a couple of good bars. The waterfront is only a couple of minutes walk away, and the bus station a couple of minutes walk the other way. If you need to...

The staff are friendly but not intrusive. They make me feel at ease when I hang around in the common area chatting with me at times. The bathrooms are really clean and it would be good if sanitary bin can be placed within the toilets.

Decent place for someone who is on a budget! Cheap and I must say very comfortable. Best part is the hospitality. Oh and five star for the rooftop view. This place has the best place to go star gazing!

I would stay here again. The dorms were very cozy and heated up at night when there were more than 2 of us. The wifi is great quality. The breakfast is simple, butter jam and bread, but the staff offered cake. The huge plus is that the place was clean and the staff very friendly, in like two other places...
