Love the spacious apartment. Rooms being cleaned daily. They take good care of the room maintenance. Looks historical. One think weird that they don't change the tv to flatscreen. So still look like those bulky tv in the 90's. Service is good. Staffs are friendly.

Very unfriendly/unhelpful receptionists that i had came cross in the late Friday on 17 February 2017. I booked a Deluxe room but i was given a family apartment instate due to unavailability of the room. Without saying anything, i went to the apartment and found it rooms were absolutely in shocking condition. I then spoke the receptionists to change my...

Location: The best thing about this Hotel is its location. Situated on the main road next to the mall called Plaza Merdeka. From Kuching Airport, its about 30 min drive. In the front of the hotel you can find a large square lush green ground ideal for walking / jogging. Also, its next to the Museum. So location wise you...

It was unplanned as the price from Booking.com is too alluring not to have a stay. MP still have its charm despite the outdated rooms. The shower room light was very dim. It feels like you want to get out from there asap as it got a bit scary. Need more TV channels and some of the channels are not...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment suites. Had problem checking in because receptionist could not find my reservation booked through Expedia. Greatest shock when we entered the apartment. Apartment is big and provides good views of Kuching city, but the conditions in the apartment is deplorable. Dirty carpet and mouldy window frames. Basins and toilet bowl cover are stained....

Breakfast at the Merdeka Palace's Aurora Court starts at 6:30 a.m. The first 10 minutes of breakfast involves a relaxing wait, (locked) outside the dining area as the staff at a comfortable, relaxing pace (start to) set out the food on the buffet table. The buffet spread is just average, but decent considering the price (at RM22, you get what...

The prices were attractive but the rooms, sadly, were not. The dimness of the rooms and the marked lack of towels and electrical outlets might have been forgivable had our room not been infested with ants. The staff, however, were friendly, and service was generally decent.

I booked a standard room via booking.com and was impressed by the price. Unfortunately the room I was given #510 was a small dark room with a small window that was dirty and looked onto the car park. I high tailed out of there and requested an upgrade to a deluxe room with a view. I was given one overlooking...
