We booked a twin airconditioned room at Mr D's. When we arrived (the following day), we realised that Mr D's was closed for refurbishment, and our booking had been taken by another hostel/hotel just up the street. Not a problem in itself, but they did not have any twin rooms. For this reason, they should not have taken our booking...

Mr D is a delight, but the living / sleeping quarters had plywood walls .... Thank u snoring man, get a clap machine. Toilet was less than desirable but it did have a great location......I guess for $10 a night, I shouldn't complain, as u get what h pay for.

Great location in central Kuching, Beautiful inside. Room OK (cockroach but I guess its everywhere). More expensive than others guesthouse around. They said breakfast was served from 07h00...at 07h45 there was still nobody and we had to leave for Bako.

We were for 3 days in Kuching, planning to move around; finally we stayed at Mr D's place. The place was absolutely perfect for us (two 22-years-old backpackers) willing to discover the city; really well located, the staff was friendly (as everybody in Borneo) and helpful, the place matched our expectations (clean, cheap), and the atmosphere here and in Kuching...

I spent some days in this BNB. The staff is effective and very nice, willing to help if you need it. The place is well-situated in Kuching, really close to the waterfront and many restaurants. Furthermore, you feel very relaxed : well-decorated in a tribal style, many backpackers and you can watch movies on the big screen downstairs. I recommend...

This is a bit of a gem in the Kuching Chinatown area. It's a wonderful old heritage building with nice but small rooms. It is located in heart of the city and is 20 minutes away from the airport. It's near the river and the waterfront while it's beautiful at sunset. It's also very near to most of the historical...

My trip to Kuching was definitely unplanned and staying in Mr D's was merely a coincidence. We arrived Kuching early morning and was shown to Mr D's by the taxi driver as we asked him to drive us to any BnB in China town. Our stay was made perfect by the friendly staff and cozy place. Mr D's was a...

So I had originally intended on staying in Kuching for a couple days.... but my experience at Mr. D's B&B made me prolong my stay for an additional week. The rooms are great (including the dormitory) with clean, comfortable amenities for short term or long term visitors. The downstairs lounge is great - guitars, TV, music, wifi and internet -...

After 4 days in Kuala Lumpur and 1 day in Sibu we took the speed boat Sibu-Kuching. When we arrived at the river port in Kuching the température was very hot and we still have in our ears the sound of engine’s boat. In KL and Sibu the hotel wasn’t very nice, i was hoping to have a better hotel...
