Let me clarify the title. Sometimes, the hotel lobby may not look anything nice, but the room is great. However, in this case of The Palace Hotel KK, while the lobby is modern, the Palace Suite is nothing like the lobby. Conventional, dirty, small and only 2 power plugs in the room. Come on? Whatever I have viewed on the...

When we arrived they put us in a room in the basement next to the function room. Our view was a car park and there was a very loud disco going on. We complained and they moved us to the fourth floor for about £40. The wifi wasn't working on our floor but the room was fine. Comfy bed, nice...

I stayed there for three nights. I stayed in the basement floor which means there is no window in your room. It would be better if I had windows, but I can't complain because it was the cheapest room in the hotel. Good thing was their facilities. There is a swimming pool, sports gym, restraint, and a karaoke bar. I...

We stayed in one of the basement rooms, no window, which was fine but boy do you sleep heavily there. Be sure to set an alarm. Breakfast buffet is big but mostly catered to Asian breakfast tastes (fair enough, as it's in Asia). They had waffles, a guy who could fry you an egg, but were a little light on...

I stayed here 3 nights (Jesselton full as always). This was a good second choice. It is a bit uphill, has small pool facing the forest. 15 minute walk from the city centre. A nice veranda outside the restaurant looking down on the pool, an facing the forest. Staff very friendly, wi-fi good (could stream tv-programs from Sweden). Breakfast fine....

It's much nicer now than it was 3 years ago when i stayed last time. It's out of the way and quiet yet close to anything you may need ie. karamunsing is just down the hill. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was 80% basic local but the other 10% was real good especially the belgium...

I bought 2 nights of the standard room package with AA Go Holiday. For the price range I could choose between this or Cititel Express, which is right in the town center. I opted for this hotel because I thought the room was a lot bigger compare to those in Cititel (they're like pigeon holes). The hotel is situated on...

Not a bad place. Rooms are ok though nothing special. Wish they had a fan cos I hate air-con. Pool is a good length so it's fine for exercise swimming. There's also a nature garden and small walk. BIggest drawback was internet - very slow. So slow that I missed my game of rugby! Wanted to watch it through live...

Thank you for your comments pertaining to your recent stay with us.

The experience and comments you described has caused us deep concern. We would like to offer our sincere apologies for any frustrations that may have caused. The comments and suggestions have been carefully noted by our team and these have certainly raised concern that needs to be addressed and will inspire us to strive harder in servicing our hotel guests. However, allow us to share with you on our findings.

The standard room assigned for your stay from September 14 to 17, 2015 was Room 014 (Wing B) and yes, all our standard rooms are located at the basement. The dry spell and the weather lately have contributed to the indoor environment where we felt the air-conditioning could not even conquer the heat and are seemingly stuffy! To add the situation worsen, unfortunately, upon the day of your arrival, 01 of the compressor of air-conditioning unit at the walkway broke down on Sunday, September 13, 2015 evening. As this job requirement is catered by a appointed contractor who is waiting for a new parts to arrive, we totally agree that the walkway is stuffy especially when the corridor doors are closed at all times.

With our Duty Manager’s assistance, Addyzan immediately attended to your comment and you were moved to Room 001 (Wing A) upon your agreeable to the room inspection prior to moving. Addyzan apologized for not having the opportunity to inform you pertaining to the compressor’s shortfall. However, the compressor was changed on Monday evening itself and the air-conditioning is now up and operating smoothly.

Patrik, kindly rest assured that the comments received have been of value to us in order to provide the best possible standards to our guests at all times. We sincerely regret that you did not convey your disappointments immediately to our Reception Desk should the change of

room only is not ethical as our aim and intent is to ensure our team is totally customer-focused and all guest concerns and disappointments are handled quickly and efficiently.

We hope the above is in order and if we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us know. Thank you.
