We were a little hesitant about coming to the resort after reading some of the reports , on our first day we did encounter some issues that made us look at moving , however we discussed these issues with the front of desk manager and the personnel in the club lounge , they were absolutely fantastic and did everything possible...

Beautiful hotel. Staff can't do enough for you. Me and my fiancée stayed for 7 nights and didn't have a single problem. We don't usually stay 5 star but treated ourselves to the holiday we always wanted. We weren't disappointed. We enjoyed trips to turtle island and sepilok to see the orang-utans. All of our trips where superbly organised from...

As expected from a 5 star resort service standards were consistent. Room- Tj seaview and yes we paid for it.However 3 other rooms occupants from my same party receive room upgrades. 1 to Tanjung wing as the Kinabalu room wasn't ready. The other 2 because there was a mix up in room configuration. Rooms- good air con. Nice size. 2...

My partner and I stayed here in April this year for my 30th Birthday and we found paradise. Originally a little reserved as we wanted to stay at the Rasa Ria but had been told there were building works going on at the time so instead of risking potentially ruining our holiday we opted to stay at the Tanjung Aru...

It was a great five nights in Shangri-la Tanjung Aru. My son and husband had a great time with the slides and pools. Kids club was fabulous and the ladies working there were most kind. Room was huge and very quiet. Room service was quick and the food were delicious. Housekeeping ladies very friendly and accommodative.

We stayed here for a week and found the staff very welcoming particularly in the Shang Palace! We stayed in the pool most of the time and really enjoyed the time we spent there, make sure you get there early if you want shade! Only down side is there is a lack of public toilets outside your room.

It’s difficult to write a fair and balanced review of this hotel, because the hotel has some very good characteristics, but also some very bad characteristics. I've stayed here 5 times in the last year, most recently for 10 days. Some of these stays have been delightful, but my most recent stay was horrible. The hotel is a 30 year...
