Stayed here in a 2bed private room for a couple of nights before and after climbing Mt Kinabalu. Very helpful staff, nice rooms with aircon, warm showers, western toilets, complementary breakfasts each morning and wifi. Good location to explore the night markets by the ocean. A nice comfortable and affordable backpackers that has everything you need.

This hostel is a really great place to stay when in Kota Kinabalu. The staff are really helpful and accommodating, happy to provide recommendations- which were amazing. There was also loads of information readily available . The rooms were nice and clean and the beds comfortable. It is also a very social hostel with good communal areas!! Would definitely stay...

The hostel is in a good location, right next to the minibus/shared taxi terminal. We were able to walk to supermarkets (2 minutes), shopping malls and restaurants (10 minutes), the harbour (20 minutes), and most attractions fairly easily. Whilst not every street has the best lighting, we felt quite safe walking around at night as two young females. Our private...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights. The location is great as it is just a 20 to 30 minute walk away from the ferry terminal and the mall. There are also plenty of restaurants, and a 7-11 just a 3-5 min walk away. Hostel is clean and comfortable. They have a no shoes policy...

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of September in a twin room, no window but good air conditioning throughout the hostel. Fridge, unlimited tea, coffee, water with a small area to sit and chat to people. Breakfast basic but ok and plentiful. Showers good, hostel is clean and fairly centrally located, would recommend to others

Overall good, clean and tidy, had an expresso coffee machine. Great location, just a short walk into local shopping area and fish markets. Masada offers rooms with a double bed, great for couples. The hostel was very secure

Great place to stay in Kinabalu to meet other backpackers, have a good time but also chill out. The staff are very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. I didn't see many backpackers in Kinabalu, even though it's probably the busiest place in Malaysian Borneo, but I met a lot of great people through this hostel. Highly recommend!

Masada backpackers is a really great hostel. Free breakfast was good with fruit being available and cereal and bread. Tea/coffee/water available all day which is a great bonus. Air con is really good and the location is also okay being a five to ten minute walk away from shops and market. A really thick sheet is provided to keep warm...

Used as a transit stop for the night, I was very impressed by the cleanliness and organisation of the whole establishment. The room of 4 has adequate space to move around with lockers and ample space for your belongings. There are many shower areas and sink basins to use, which are very clean. Water pressure is good enough considering its...
