We spent 5 days in this hostel which had the perfect location in the center of Kota Kinabalu 15 min away from Jesselton point, 15 min away from the night markets! The hostel is clean, spacious and big, it offers separate restrooms for ladies and gents as well as separate bathrooms. You can enjoy rooms with fans or air conditioned...

This place looks like it had witnessed some better days. Currently the staff seem to be bored by sitting at the reception and bothered by the guests. Experienced 2 nights in 2 different double-bedrooms, one was spacious and with big window, however very basic. The other had window overlooking the terrace where bathrooms and toilets are. Breakfast wasn't worth it,...

Jessleton Cabins best feature is its friendly, helpful staff who helped me plan days out & further travels and its location. Within a 5 min walk you've got banks, restaurants of various cuisine & budget, hotels, convenience stores & even some attractions. Rooms could do with a few more power outlets as we had to time when our phone got...

The staff were so friendly I decided to extend my stay by a week, they tried their best to help with everything and know exactly how hospitality should be. Nice kitchen area and excellent facilities for the price. The only problem was smoking beside the big window, the smoke would come inside and everyone knows by now that cigarettes are...

Had a terrible experience at North Borneo Cabin. To begin with when I arrived there was no one at reception so I just waited with my bags outside the front gate (you have to be buzzed in). When a guest finally buzzed me in I waited around on the sofas for ages until someone else buzzed on the door and...

Excellent location, the rooms are cleaned daily and you get to enjoy free toasts, coffee and tea every morning! YAN is so helpful and never fail to smile whenever he see you around! The Gaya Street Market happens every Sunday! If you are looking for budget but nice hostel, this is the best place. They have private rooms too!

It a clean place with very basic and working amenities. If you are diving in KK, it is conveniently located a couple of blocks from the dive shops and an acceptable walking distance from the jetti. Surprisingly the road is a bit noisy on weekdays, but nothing to complain about. Maybe the owner should put a sign for the tenant...

This hostel has a good location in KK not being to far away from anything. It is around a 10 minutes walk to the pier, to catch the airport bus and to go to the night market. The staff was helpful which I really appreciated since I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do here in Borneo but with...
