Water leaking into the room when it rained. The mattress was hard and moldy. The fat crazy china man at the front desk was mean and abusive. This place is cheap but be prepared for what you get. The second floor is wood so people come back at all hours in the morning and it sound like bang bang bang...

I have stayed here many times... umh where to start?! The owners are quite straight forward. Honest as the day is long. Which is worth a heck of a lot. A mixture of people. It used to be full of long term stayers and there are a few now. They can be very useful for information on the area. Actually,...

We've been here last august with our 3 kids. They placed an extra bed free of charge. Our room had a shower but the toilets (very clean) where located in the hall. Very good mattresses and helpful staff.

I have been coming to this wonderful place for about a decade and can only concur with all the nice things being said about it . The only fly in the ointment is that the internet service ,which one has to pay extra for, is sometimes slow and frequently non-existent which upsets many guests here . The owner has two...

I've been living overseas in different places for going on 10 years now. In Asia for about 6 years. Every time I come to Penang I come here. Why? Because it's minimal, cheap, clean and private. I could not stay in a dormitory, I need my own room. For under 30 ringgit I get that, if I want more, I...

Everything you are looking for in a budget hotel. I discovered the place by wondering around, and for about the price other hotels charge for a dorm bed, I got my own room with window and a shower/sink inside. The room is basic, but spotless. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is right next to Little India, so...
