First of all when I was stepping into the Star Lodge, i was greeted nicely and staffs was introduced me a lot of places to visit in georgetown. Room was acceptable with private bathroom, AC was working fine, the only bad thing is the very thin blanket. WiFI is very fast, and it is walking distances to many restaurants, pubs,...

Four words - stay here in Penang! It's cheap - the staff are super helpful, great location and the rooms are very clean and hot water and aircon worked. We had room G8 which was very quiet and had a window which was sealed off with mosquito screen which was appreciated. The clientele are a little older but very social...

It's very basic, old, but cheap and clean. Well, the bedsheets were clean at least. The room was really small, but it had a window and it wasn't noisy an night there. The staff was helpful, they booked a trip to Melaka for me. Good place for a budget traveler

Nice, clean and cheap. Not other guest house in the area were offering the same for that price. But if you get the room F7 make sure that they changed the net of the bad as it was badly broken and I had not so good sleeps. Comfortable positions near chulia street.
