18ringgit for a dorm, good WiFi, clean beds and environment, other guests weren't particularly friendly, didn't see anyone in the dorm talking to each other, people at reception warm up after a while and are helpful and knowledgeable about penang and georgetown

3 nights I stayed here was very good. The receptionist was nice and knowledgeable. The dorm room was clean with 5 shared bathrooms (hot shower yeah). You can easily but cheap drink there, don't need to go out. Maybe it's the cheapest hostel in Geogretown so you can start from there to visit outside

I stayed here two nights, and for 18 riggets you get a dorm which is brilliant. The place is really clean and very nicely finished. The toilets and showers are shared but are fantastic quality and the showers are hot! The staff are friendly and very helpful, they also sell reasonably cheap drinks at reception. There is a nice patio... More

My gf and I stumbled upon this guesthouse whilst looking for a place to stay. Love Lane had to expensive lodging, this was just on the next street. The owners were very friendly and chatty. We paid 50RM for a double room with shared bathroom. These were one of the cleanest we've encountered in Malaysia so far! Our room was... More

I stayed here for 9 nights with my wife and our 2 year old baby. It cost us only 75 Ringgit per night for a private room with an ensuite bathroom and good A/C. The mattress was soft. There is an excellent power shower in the bathroom with non-slip tiles. The room and hotel in general was very clean. The... More

I stayed previously et 75 Travellers's Lodge in 2008, 2009 and 2012. The place has been renovated lately, and prices went up as well. I spent 2 nights in the dorm (December 26 th to 28 th), one bed was 18 Ringgit. Was only 7 Ringgit in 2008...All the mattresses are new (dorm and rooms) Noone speaks to each other,... More

Stayed in their 10 bed dorm. Place was light, airy and clean. Just fans in the dorm room. Each bunk has it's own plug socket/switch which is handy. Shared bathrooms but clean. Hot showers available. Nice back patio area. Can do for washing here too. Nice quiet street. Would definitely reccommend.

We spent 3 nights in George Town and chose 75 Travellers as the prices were very reasonable and the room was clean and well maintained. The Wifi connection was good and worked upstairs in our room. The Bathrooms were great, very clean and the showers were exactly what you needed after a day of exploring the little town. The staff... More

Stayed in a single room which was clean and very affordable. Downsides: not much of an atmosphere (people hardly talked to each other?), the dorm (when I checked it out, at least) smelled awful of unwashed bodies Regarding the bus to Cameron Highlands: I bought a ticket from the reception and dutifully sat in the reception area 10 minutes before...
