Stayed for 2 nights in a private room with ensuite. Lady was lovely on arrival, very helpful. Great location for seeing George Town and easy to get a bus out to see the rest of Penang. Free tea and coffee all day too! Only downside was the Wi-Fi...not very good connectivity.

Lady at reception is really nice and helpful, all staff. Really cool building with courtyard inside where you can chill on couch or tables. Free tea coffee all day. Standard brekkie. Room with no window were spacious and clean. AC a bit noisy in room 9 something to fix perhaps. Bathrooms clean most of the time. Great base to explore...

This was a nice place to stay for a few nights. The guesthouse has comfortable, air-conditioned rooms and nice beds. It's perfectly located for access to the surrounding tourist spots and great cafes and restaurants. The breakfast was simple (toast, fruit, tea and coffee) but very nice, and the toilet/shower cubicles were decent, although there weren't nearly enough of them....

Probably the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in. I stayed in the 4 bed women's dorm and it was lovely. Lockers are provided but bring your own padlock, towels are also provided. The bathrooms are clean and showers are hot and good pressure. Breakfast that is included is as you'd expect, simple. Drinking water is also provided. The manager...

Came here with a group of 5 people and stayed in a shared dorm style room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was clean, comfortable and affordable with hot showers and powerful aircon. Breakfast was fine and they had no problem sharing their fridge and allowed us to drink some of our own booze. They offered a nice lounge...

You are in the middle of everything which is nice. The rooms are still quiet and also comfortable. For that price however I usually would expect my own bathroom but there are several shared ones available so it is not to bad.

Loved the guesthouse's ancient look - apparently 100 years old building. But, it wasn't dilapidated or anything. The guesthouse is wonderfully located at a prime place. Lots of cafes/pubs nearby. The bars play music and entertain till about 3am. Bathrooms and toilets are common but kept very clean. During peak hours, one must wait to use of course. The beds,...

Backpacker hostel, totally low end. Manager very friendly and very helpful but not what we expected. We expected "quaint" not low end backpacker. Breakfast is toast and jam. Very simple. Good location for walking about and certainly inexpensive. But, for a few dollars more you can get a lot more.

The staff here are lovely and helped us out when we had showed up to George Town two days earlier than we had planned with accommodation already reserved. We didn't end up losing any of our money due to our original booking being their sister hostel. The rooms were really clean as were the showers and common room.
