A little out of Georgetown, but on the bus route to Gurney Plaza and Batu Ferringhi. We did a little exploration of this area by foot, and found many great hawkers centres, restaurants, more upmarket cafes and other eateries. The rooms are large, but very run down and dated. The towels were tissue thin and the bathroom was grotty. The...

Went to this hotel on Jan2017 with my wife. It's a old building with not so proper maintenance, hence, do not expect too much. The hotel provide car park, and it is worth to park your car without having worry on getting any ticket for wrong parking in Penang. Also, is someone walk by your room, you can easily heard...

It could be a nice place. Location is good, walking distance to historic centre of George Town ... 25 min. Staff is ok, friendly, and breakfast in Hainanese Delights restaurant is quite tasty, its included in the price. There is a pool which seems ok, but room cleanleness was well below standards. Tile floors were dirty, they were never cleaned,...

as place named: heritage, this place is rather dated. but a very nice and comfortable place with a small swimming pool (unfortunately, like in most malaysian hotels, patrons would swim fully clothed including head gear). Rooms are rather 'small' but good enough to place an extra bed (which we requested on booking). Breakfast included in booking, is rather limited on...

This place us a very heritage setting, long corridors and design. Quite helpful reception staff. Rooms are clean but a little run-down, still a good place to stay. Staying near to the swimming could be quite noisy, children running around N screaming. Food is average. Getting around is quite a breeze with the GRAB apps. There's a night food court...

Visited here with my family and thank God it was for only 2 nights. This place needs a lot of improvement. Everything is old and needs refurbishing. Breakfast was okay and we were entertained by the chef who was making omelet.

Located off Imigresen Road and Burma Road, 1926 Heritage Hotel occupies 24 heritage link houses beautifully restored to its former glory. In 1999 The State Government of Penang under PDC (Penang Development Corporation) invested a significant amount of funds to refurbish this colonial property as a heritage hotel with most of its Anglo-Malay architectural essence still intact. Surrounded by spacious rooms, wooden interiors, long corridors, balmy balconies, beautiful victorian windows as well as pictures of the old Penang, a sense of nostalgia can be felt throughout the property. And we top that experience with warm, friendly service. The Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the historic city of Georgetown, founded in 1786 by Captain Francis Light. Listed as a UNESCO heritage city, Georgetown is a one of a kind melting pot of cultures, heritage, foods and festivals from diverse communities.1926 Heritage Hotel is all about bringing you the wholesome experience of the British colonial era and the spirit of Malaysian hospitality from the very moment you step into our lobby. We at 1926 Heritage Hotel are ever ready to go the extra mile to ensure your stay with us will be most memorable.
