I've been going to Alangs on Rawa island for over five years. The island is stunning - with just two hotels on it. Alangs has a slightly younger vibe than the other one and caters to groups from across Asia. The rooms are simple, dormitory style but with little touches - blue and white paint, comfy beds and built like...

We (a group of friends) stayed here over the Easter weekend. Rawa is an island with just 2 resorts - one with the family and kids, and Alang's which is a kid-free zone, separated by a pier. Good: - The beach on Alang's side is beautifully kept, with perfect soft white sand. Alang's resort itself is a rustic nicely designed...

We had a group of 16 in our mid to late 20's and it couldn't have been better. - The staff are truly exceptional. They set up a very easy (and accurate) tab system at the bar for us which saved untold headaches. They were always on hand if you needed and a friendly smile in the morning whilst they're...

I have been coming back to alangs since ive found this gem. A great place to bond with family and friends. Food is awesome and the ambience its just welcoming. Be prepared for a real island getaway with no tv n aircon. Enjoy the nature and the island!

We stayed at the Jungle side rooms on the 2nd floor which was located slightly further from the beach as compared to the other rooms. But this was nothing cuz it only meant abt 10m further. We had 3 to a room but the room can easily accommodate 4, ideally two double beds and 2 to a bed. The sea...

Cool calm crystal clear sea, white sandy beach, clean room and friendly staffs. My son enjoyed all the sea activities from snorkeling, swim, kayak, sand castle to shells hunting, while I lazed on the beach enjoyed the cool breeze while soaked up vitamin D. Meals are simple but a bit salty. Drinks prices are on the high side. Overall it's...

Lovely small island with only two resorts. We chose Alang Rawa for this weekend and it was absolutely perfect. It was just me and 4 other friends and we shared a room which was comfortable. There was no air con, no hot water, no wifi so you're literally forced to talk to one another. WHICH WAS PERFECT because we had...

Stunning small island with white sand and nothing to do but relax. We travelled to Rawa for CNY long weekend and had a fantastic few days lounging on the beach, playing volleyball and enjoying the sunshine and amazing food. Staff were great. Drink prices were reasonable compared to Singapore but expensive for Malaysia. Well made cocktails. We'll definitely be back.

Beach front chalet was good, it's a good place to sit back and relax. Love the ambience! Staff are helpful and I like the music choice they play. All the meals served are delicious! There are some choices of seafood or meat. Would love to come again someday! Poor phone coverage.

The island was ideal for people who wish to escape the city and just be undisturbed for awhile. They only have basic amenities so it might not be for everyone. The A frame chalet was cozy and nice. It didn't bother me that there was no air-con, TV, wifi, hot water. The boat ride from mersing was rough but we...
