We were staying in a house locally in Malindi but went along to the Driftwood for lunch and a step back in time into childhood memories of happy days at the coast. The bar area remains gorgeous with a view of the beautiful beach and pool area. Everything is clean and well maintained, the staff are attentive and friendly. All...

It's not 5* but it's a wonderful chilled vibe on the Kenya coast, with a pretty beach and superbly comfy beds. Oh, and wonderful seafood! Having stayed before, we were prepared for somewhat laid back service attitude for food and drinks. We were pleasantly surprised to have an alert young waiter take us under his wing, and bring us menus...

If you are looking for a 5 star deluxe beach hotel with all the bells and whistles then Driftwood Beach Club is not for you! If however you are looking for a traditional Kenyan beach hotel oozing with character and charm then read on. The rooms are clean, air conditioned and very comfortable. The bar and lounge are thatched, open...

Having stayed in Driftwood before, I was looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this will likely be the last time I stay at Driftwood. The rooms we were allocated have not been touched in the best part of 10 years (despite management protestations to the contrary on tripadvisor). Of the 6 rooms our party took, 4 had some sort of plumbing...

One of the most charming hotels on the Kenyan coast. Great thatched cottages 100m from the coral sand beach, sea view and a cooling gentle breeze. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent, a great variety of fresh local produce; great quality fruit, fish and vegetables.

My wife and I wanted to get away to the beach for a day...this was our first time to visit the Driftwood Beach Club and we were not disappointed. Everything from the accommodations, to the beach shades, to the meals was perfect. We especially enjoyed Saturday evening's Mongolian Barbecue--great selections to choose from and all perfectly cooked by friendly chefs....

I went there on Saturday the 4th March 2017 for a Horticulture Exhibition. It is a great wonderful Breezy and quiet place on the sea front with wi-fi. I was served some Fresh fruit Juice by the open bar. I will definitely make time to go back there with friends and family.

This was our second stay and it was as enjoyable as before. Comfortable cottage, excellent food, very friendly service, splendid pool, kids friendly dog,... The only drawback was that our stay was too short.

Only went to restaurant but viewed rooms. If you want great battered fish with chips this is where to go. Also the finest salads of the restaurants we tried in malindi. Also do good spicey chicken. They also have other UK favourites like cottage pie and as such a welcome change from the predominant Italian focus when you need a...
