Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for three nights in a lovely cottage with a pool right outside. There are many pools at the resort and then the ocean. The whole place is beautiful and everything is modern lodge style. We had great meals everytime and we actually thought that the chef were from Italy, which is not the case. The staff is professionell and serviceminded, we especially liked Agathe. Sometimes the service was a bit slow ( food and drink orders) but on the other hand we liked everything that was served. We really do hope we will come back :-)

Terrible service, I paid 120 pounds a night the staff member are busy cooking and feeding them self in the kitchen, you have to keep on walking in to the kitchen to find a waiter. The reception females front office and the back office don't smile or give you any information the look miserable bored. it was quite season only two family was staying in the hotel, i could have expected good service !!! when you ask for the manager his never around. its a beautiful hotel the rooms are big the view is amazing. The need to change the management and staff members. i was so disappointed with service the house keeping was good. Security was fantastic i did ask the reception for the director email, The refused to give it me The reasons: the owners live in Italy, no complaint

Superb service and ambient, yet very private and subtle. Beautiful African architecture & spirit. Worth coming! If you are after relaxing, wining and dining, safari trips or just enjoying yourself, you have found it!

Splendid!!: Elegance, courtesy, confidentiality, beauty, excellent cleaning, excellent cuisine, nice customers and is located in a strategic position! Kilili is located right on the beach and very close to town. Excellent for spending the day lazing about and walking along the beach front during low tide. The rooms are large, very large and so is the bathroom. Well lit, good air-conditioning and mosquito nets. A tv but Definitely a good choice for Malindi. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, terrible service. Would not recommend it to anyone. The food is also nothing to write home about. Please be clear to clients about what you offer during booking. We feel shortchanged

All was superb, rooms, facilities, service. Breakfast was royal and place was very family friendly. Internet was tempramental. Lunch & dinner at restaurant whilst quality in many aspects failed to wow on food factor. Better to eat outside. Private pools were enjoyed by all. Would go again.

Stayed here for a weekend to chill by the sea. The hotel is smart, arranged around a number of courtyards with swimming pools. There is a large smart lounge to hang out and down by the beach is another large pool. The beach is lovely as is the beach furniture. Enjoyed it a lot.

Kilili is located right on the beach and very close to town. Excellent for spending the day lazing about and walking along the beach front during low tide. Easy access to very good restaurants nearby and La Rosada, probably the best Italian restaurant in Malindi, is a 5 minutes walk away, by the beach during the day and by the well lit road at night. Old Man & The Sea, an old establishment, is 5 mins away by car. The rooms are large, very large and so is the bathroom. Well lit, good air-conditioning and mosquito nets. A tv but I don't watch tv so cannot comment on programs. Definitely a good choice for Malindi. Very friendly and helpful staff. The cons, do be aware the wifi is super slow and patchy, shower has no water pressure so is a trickle more than a shower,
