Booked this hotel for Tatehana Wharf Morning Market held on Sunday. Located right next to JR Station; 5 mins walk. Clean room was ideally sized. The free breakfast has limited selection but still better than continental breakfast in many European or American hotels. Rice, pasta, soup, salad, bread & pastries, yogurt & fruits, etc. Will be back in the future if visit Hachinohe again.
Within Japan many hotels have remnants of Japan in their rooms; this hotel came closest to American type amenities. I fully recommend this hotel for comfort (pun not included). Staff was extremely helpful.
Hachinohe is a very small city in Aomori, but there is a Shinkansen station, so quite some tourists have a stop there. To me though I did not take the train when travelling in Tohoku, I stayed a night there so that I did not have to drive too long from Oirase Keiryuu to Tanesashi Coast. Comfort Hotel is a typical business hotel with very small but clean rooms. It is only 2-3 minutes’ walk to the train station. I had a twin room in which I could open two medium-sized suitcases. Breakfast is included in the room rate. There is not a lot of choice but made from fresh ingredients. The best part to me is the carpark. It is unlike many business hotels in Japan, of which the carpark is in a tall building and was parked automatically by a machine. The disadvantage is that every time you want to drive out, you have to ask the hotel staff to send the car to the entrance. The carpark of Comfort Hotel is just the normal one, just beside the hotel building. Then you can drive out to have dinner or go to the market any time you like.…
Stayed here 3 nights for work, very conveniently located in front of Hachinohe Shinkansen station (not the main Hachinohe town center). This is not the center of town, so you will have to take the train or a bus for sightseeing but for a business stay or even during the festival season when all the hotels are booked throughout Aomori, this is a reasonable spot. Front desk staff are all extremely helpful. I often send my luggage to the next destination by courier service (takkyu-bin) and the front desk has the forms and will weigh and measure your suitcase if you prefer not to lug your bags on the Shinkansen. The rooms are basic but comfortable. They have toothpaste and toothbrush sets, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bathroom but no extras such as lotions. There is a small refrigerator in the room, hot water thermos, and a full breakfast which comes with the room rate. There is a small TV in the room but I could not find any English language news stations (CNN,BBC or even Chinese language stations) which most hotels in Japanese cities would offer. All in all, very convenient, reasonably priced, clean, with helpful staff.…
The location is a few minutes walk to the Hachinohe Station and bus stop. The rooms were reasonably spacious and clean. The breakfast included and simply but healthy. There is free parking for visitors.
