The hotel is pretty new. I got Room 1201, a double bed in a smallish, north- facing room. The view was great, and I could see to the Kabushima start of the amazingly beautiful Tanesashi coastal trail. It’s a classic Dormy Inn room, compact but well- designed to make the most of the space. The design is modern and well- executed. The sink is in the entry hall and has the mini- fridge and tea service underneath. There’s also an in- room safe. The toilet and shower room are across the entry hall from the sink. The toilet is a new model Toto washlet. Again, typical D.I., there’s a four or five gallon fresh water jug for “just in case.” There are more electrical outlets than in most hotels, and located at convenient heights, much appreciated. There’s a good in- room safe as well. The bed was very comfortable and the window opened so I didn’t use the aircon. The breakfast room is a corner room facing north and east and gets the morning sun, so it’s very bright and cheery. Breakfast is a selection of Japanese and western items, all high- quality and tasty. The onsen is excellent, again a D.I. hallmark. Located on the 13h floor and facing east and south, the views are great. There’s a sauna, a cold bath and indoor and outdoor hot baths. This one I estimate at 42C, a bit hotter than most, which I like. The changing area is nice and there are so many lockers that if they were all in use, it would be standing room only in all the baths!

Thank you very much for staying with us in our hotel. In addtion, I would like to thank you for the words of compliments to our hotel. As you mentioned, the upper floors have a nice view and you can see the views of Hachinohe city. The views, and night view as well, from the public baths are also very well received by many customers. We are very pleased to hear about your satisfaction. The public bath on the 13th floor is a natural hot spring. It is pumped up from 800 meters underground, and the hot spring of our hotel has a recovery effect. We hooe you had a nice and rexing time here. Also, thank you very much for your compliment regarding breakfast. Our breakfast is about 50 kinds of Japanese and Western buffet including Hachinohe local cuisine. We also offer seafood bowls that can be served with as much tuna, squid and so on as you like, grilled scallops, and rice cracker soup which is specialties of Hachinohe. It is more than anything that it seems like you were satisfied with everything. Have you had Yonaki-soba of our hotel? Half size soy sauce ramen is provided free of charge every day from 21:30 to 23:00. We will give you a cup noodles for free in case you did not meet the time of Yonaki-saba. Please do not hesitate to tell us to get "Gomennasai" which is the original cup noodles of Dormy Inn Hotels. We will continue to strive to be even more satisfying to our customers. We hope you will use Dormy Inn Hon Hachinohe again by all means when you come to Hachinohe at the next opportunity. We are looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you very much for the review. Sincerely yours, Aya NEDACHI Dormy Inn Honhachinohe

As a large American (6'2", 200lbs), the rooms in this hotel are small like the few others that I've stayed in while visiting Japan. In fact, I've been in smaller so this hotel was a plus. I stayed in a room with a double bed which has just enough room for the bed, my large suitcase, and a sitting chair. The room also had an alcove for clothes and shoes. The room and the hotel in general was very clean. The nights were surprisingly very quiet. The location was in the heart of the city with many restaurants nearby ... if only I could read Japanese to know what they served. My rate included breakfast which was mostly the local fair, but did have some American options such as scrambled eggs, granola, yogurt, and a few pastries. Overall, a good stay.
