If you want to be near the tourist sites, train station this is an ideal place to stay. The staff is very helpful in fulfilling the desire of the guest 9within reason). the rooms are well appointed with an American feeling.
My girlfriend booked this hotel for me (we were going to meet in Kakunodate the next day) to my surprise it was right next to the station. Which was good because it was beginning to drizzle. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Akita but are taking the Shinkansen the next morning. One thing about japan that gets me is no ‘daylight savings’ which in Northern Japan meant sunrise at 04:30 am. I couldn’t go back to sleep, and the free breakfast wasn’t for a few hours so, I walked to the station booked my Shinkansen ticket and strolled through the town on that cool overcast morning. There is a beautiful park nearby -you can’t miss it, just walk the opposite direction on Akita Station and you’ll see it. There’s also a shrine at the top of the hill (bit of a climb but worth it). The hotel was a typical business hotel, and I would not recommend booking it as a family or a group of lads traveling. Staying there single is cozy, and as a couple is cramped. But that is expected. The free breakfast was good, loved the espresso maker that they and most Japanese have for complimentary use.…
So convenient.. only 5 minutes walk to the train station, bus station, and malls. Complimentary coffee and tea whole day. No complaints at all... of course, the rooms are tight, like all hotels in Japan.
The location location! It's right next from the train station and bus terminal! The train stations is connected to indoor walk through so you don't have to worry about rain nor snow at all:):) Then there are lots of store included department and 7 eleven is in the same buildings so it is very convenient for almost anything you need. The staff was friendly . If you've been to Japan then you know how they are so polite and kind. The room is small It's most likely for business hotel but it's clean!
The hotel is just a few min walk from the train station, and there are a few large department stores just across the street. It is also only a few minutes walk from the main park and the Castle. The wait for the elevators is a bit long during the peak check-in and check-out time. Service is great. We bought some apples and pears, and wanted to borrow a knife to cut them. The hotel staff said they cannot lend knives due to policies, but they offered to cut the fruits for us into slices, which is even better! Free breakfast is offered to everyone. There is no need to bring a ticket.
I was looking for a place close to the Akita train station for an overnight stay, it was about a block and a half from the JR train station east exit, there is a shopping street nearby and underground shopping and restaurants all close to the hotel. Great price, decent room, friendly staff and a good breakfast that is included in the price are hard to beat
Really comfortable pillows and beds. Very close to the train station. Breakfast was amazing a very good range of food. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, decent coffee. The usual rice, salads, hardboiled eggs. Staff were professional.
The hotel is close to the station and is easy to find. Check was straight forward and staff were to check us in early. Room is clean and has everything you need, although it is small. Breakfast was ok.
The hotel was next to Akita Station which provided an easy access with trains, buses and cabs lined up on one place. Since it is near the station, it was also crowded with shopping malls for good shopping and a large variety of restaurants to choose from. The room is a standard Japanese hotel room which can be quite compact. It was clean and the bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were quite helpful and check-in and out was very quick. The hotel breakfast however, lacked imagination. It was an average spread. Parking at the hotel cost 520yen per day and one one occasion, they were full and we had to park in a handicap spot (with their permission).
