Good location as you can easily walk from the station, visit the Museum of Art, shopping arcades, restaurants or Senshu Park. The room allocated had no views, was compact, clean but overly heated (March). There is a door separating the bedroom from the lobby/entry (not sure why). Perhaps to retain the heat in the room? Cut down corridor noise? The...

Took a day trip to Akita, and stayed at the Dormy Inn for one night just to experience their on-site onsen. But I would definitely return and stay longer! I was very impressed by the great service and the attention to detail. If you haven't gone to an onsen, get over yourself and go already! Familiarize yourself with the rules...

Fairly big rooms for being a Japanese budget hotel. Also felt quite newly refurbished and fresh. The spa on the top floor is great! Big thermal pool, one indoor and one outdoor. Very central. Not far to the railway station and Akita Castle Park. Breakfast is good. Japanese and western options.

Loved my stay here. Incredible free breakfast provided in the morning, on site washing machines to use free of charge, a beautiful hot spring spa at the top, and excellent vending machines abound. Without a doubt would stay here again. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for 5 nights while in Akita for work. Like all of the Dormy Inns I've stayed in, this one features a great hot spring bath, complete with sauna. Clean, quiet, well-equipped, close to the station and many restaurants, it worked out very well f or me. The only downside is that the offerings on the breakfast buffet...

Comfortable room and bed, with a refrigerator, shower, TV, free WiFi internet, water heating pot for tea, and the window opens for cool air. Cool air in Japanese winter buildings is a blessing. We used the rotenburo "only" three times during our one day stay. The rotenburo has two inside baths, a sauna, and an outside bath. The hotel is...

Every Dormy Inn is a bit different but they all offer a much better product than the classic “business hotel” for a small price premium. I was given south- facing Room 1120, on the same floor as the communal baths and the laundry room. The baths face north, overlooking beautiful Senshu Park and the Akita Castle. My room was large...

We stayed here for two nights during a trip round Akita prefecture. Good central location, and very close to the lovely Senshu Park. The Dormy Inn covers all the bases, with a Western hotel combined with some features more typically found in Japanese-style accommodation. The rooms are decent sizes for a Japanese hotel and the staff are efficient. There is...

This hotel made for a relaxing stay. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast had a wide assortment of Japanese dishes and a few western options. The hotel has a spa if you need a massage at night. Very welcoming. Laundry facilities adequate as well. I would stay here again.
