The Mielparque Matsuyama has lovely large rooms with a very nice Japanese sitting area next to the windows. The view was great and it was fun to watch the weekend weddings from my window. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes from the Dogo Onsen and a short tram ride to the castle. Breakfast was good but can get crowded. I also has a really nice dinner at the hotel one night.

This hotel has a nice onsen or you can walk 5 minutes to the Dogo Onsen. This hotel is conveniently located. Rooms are quite comfortable and there is a nice breakfast buffet. I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Our stay here was very comfortable. Rooms were very clean and a bit larger that most. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast included and the hotel was located very convenient to downtown and transportation and shops. A very good chose.

It’s an average ryokan with Onsen. Dinner was average. Facilities was sufficient. Dinner was average, no surprises. A short walk (5 minutes) to the bustling Onsen street was entertaining, fun and memorable.

Great proximity to Dogo Onsen (about 5 mins' walk), where the action is, and to the very pleasant Dogo Koen (which is good for hanami). And I actually quite liked how the hotel was done up - very lovely. The female yukata was the prettiest I'd seen in a hotel/ryokan - minor point, I know, but it's the little touches that elevate the experience. The family room (with a Japanese-style futon sleeping area, and a separate sitting area) is great and makes for excellent value if you are travelling with family or friends you don't mind sharing a room with. Would definitely return if I ever travel to Matsuyama again.

Only a few minutes walk to the Dogo Onsen and shops. Pretty ordinary hotel but adequate. Spacious reception and friendly staff.Rooms are reasonable size and standard but a bit weary. Small single beds in the twin room and rather unpleasant nylon type fabric on the duvets. Bathroom is a small box. Onsen is remarkably good. Breakfast ok. All in all a bit bog standard.

I stayed there for 2 nights with family. The experience was great. We can access everything in walking distance in the hotspring area, had a good price, and the room was good comparing to other options nearby. I would come back again for the next trip.

Thank you guys for being so amazing with my family and accommodate all our needs.(And again to the beautiful woman who folded all our laundry, I am very grateful to you. Thank you again.) Loubna

We're a group of 6 ladies who visited Matsuyama for the first time We had booked a very reasonable hotel package; thoroughly enjoyed the dinner, breakfast set and of course the onsen experience that came with the room booking. The futon and tatami mats were a welcome treat. The location of the hotel made it easily accessible to the shops and restaurants along and around the dogo onsen main street. It is supposed to be a 5 min walk from the Dogo Onsen station to the hotel. When we walked from the train station lugging our luggage, we bypassed the hotel as there was no English signage of the hotel visible from the road. It would help to have a signage of the hotel near the road leading up the slope to the hotel. A local resident pointed us to the barber shop signage and the hotel is just up the slope from that corner barber shop. So look out for that. Do not bypass the barber shop if you are walking towards the hotel from the station. We travelled to Matsuyama, Takamatsu, Kyoto and Osaka. We all agree our No 1 spot for this trip is Matsuyama!

I booked the non-smoking room, however, a room with bad smoking smell was given to us. I was requested to stay in Japan Style room. Unfortunately, such room did not have shower, so I rejected. Eventually, a handicap room was given to us, but the equipment in the room did not suitable for me (eg. the light switch, door lock is too low). Staff speak only Japaneseand there was no English speaker. A bad hotel! No next time!
