This is a hotel that has confronted me with several incongruent experiences. 1. Smoking. It is allowed throughout. There are NO non-smoking rooms. Our room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke - the worst I've ever experienced. The front desk told us there were no non-smoking rooms, but some one was immediately dispatched to do a "special clean." He arrived with... More

The hotel facility is almost perfect! especially , the hot spring bath is wonderful. you don't have to go out for that. The dinner was so delicious. the staff picks up at Dogo onsen station . you can leave your suitcase near the station, too! the service is so perfect.

This hotel is 10 minutes walk to the Dogo-onsen, however, the hotel provide a shutter bus service between the onsen and the hotel. On the day we checked in, the hotel was almost full, the staff will help you parking your car nearby. The lobby of the hotel is big, it is internally decorated with many japanese Lanterns. You would... More

People, who love Onsen, this place is for you. Massage machines are also around after soaking your tided body. Our room had our own machine, too. The very only down side of this hotel is that they allow smoking in communal areas. That killed the healthy-ness of Onsen.

The staff is friendly to kids and the hot spring is just wonderful. The hotel also provides free shuttle to the Dogo old street every 20 minutes which is very convenient. The souvenir shop provides wide variety of gift choices. Great place to stay if you are in town.

This is a very typical onsen hotel in Japan. It's a bit dated, and my one criticism is that there is no non-smoking rooms. If you know Japanese businessmen, they love a good smoke. Unfortunately the room reeked of it, but not much you can do. The bedding was comfortable, service good. Room was a bit dated, but fine for... More

If you are looking for a Onsen retreat, this is is one of them. Despite the fact it isn't the first choice in town and with such long history than others, it still has its charm. The Japanese style room we stayed in was quiet spacious with a separate sleeping room and very clean. All bathing facilities are on 3rd... More

It is a huge hotel. There is a very nice garden outside the hotel. We didn't get a chance to go outside as it was raining the whole time. The lobby felt like an airport. The onsen had several pools for your own choosing, indoors and outdoors. Though there were a lot of guests in the hotel, the onsen did... More

High end Japanese Onsen resort in the Dogo springs area. Primarily caters for Japanese people. Excellent service (and they coped with my English + limited Japanese). Good access from the station via tram system.
