I stay over at the Palm Royal Naha every time I can when I come to Naha. Have been doing so since at least 10 years ago. They never fail to be welcoming, including to LGBTQ people such as me, even flying a little rainbow flag at reception along with rainbow shisa (the protective lions you see all over the island). I need not go into how well located they are (as so many other guests have also commented). Recently (in the last two years) they have even built a pool side that is perfect when you come back hot and flustered - either visiting the city or following a work appointment.
We knew the location was extremely convenient and that there was a small pool. We knew that there were men’s and women’s baths on the second floor too, but didn’t expect them to be quite so nice—spacious, new, and looking out onto real plants (we used it in the evening and morning). The hotel also seeks serious about preventing coronavirus transmission, which was reassuring.
Highlight is the public bath which uses nanotechnology. No clothes allowed, but use a small towel to cover your privates as you enter and leave, just keep it poolside. Great poolside bar, with superb a Japanese whiskey. Great location. Laundry with dryers!!! Artwork in every hallway makes it like a museum visit. Great hotel!
We loved this hotel; it located right on the heart of Kokusai Dori. McDonald's and Tourist Information Center is the opposite. Our room was at the old wing, the carpet looked old, but the hotel is doing their best to keep it look nice and clean. Free coffee from a coffee machine in-room, and the onsen is the must-try.
何度も沖縄に行ってますが、国際通りを眺めながらのグランドレベルでプールは初体験です！ 新たな沖縄の魅力を発見しました！ I have been to Okinawa many times, but the pool is the first experience on the street level while looking at Kokusai Street! We discovered new attraction of Okinawa!
Very well situated hotel, close to Monorail (direct from airport) station and to downtown. Rooms are quite small. Onsen available on the site (not tried). Renovation was in its late stage when we arrive.
The location along Kokusai Dori was ideal for our short stay. The room is small but comparable to other Japan hotels. The shower room was yes, a room with a mirror which was confusing at first but was actually pretty good. It's a no frills hotel but it did the job. I would stay there again if I had to do it all over again.
While no fancy and not luxury, this hotel is located at very convenient location just 1 min walk to the main shopping street. Its rooms in new section are very clean and modern. In front there are renovation work going on thus may be a bit inconvenient. Recommend
Our stay at Hotel Palm Royal Naha was great. The room had three beds and was still very spacious - one of the biggest we stayed at in Japan. The bathroom was compact and efficient. They also had a "Handy" cell phone in the room for guests to use. We unfortunately did not have time to use the spa. I loved that they had Okinawan music playing in the hallways; it really added a lot to the experience. The front desk staff was very helpful. On our first day, one of the staff was fluent in English and provided us some great recommendations and detailed directions. Early the next morning I unfortunately had to go to the hospital unexpectedly. The staff on duty did not speak much English and my Japanese is terrible, but through a translation app we communicated sufficiently. They got me a cab and made sure the driver knew where I needed to go. I felt awful and really appreciated their help. The location of the hotel is great - right in the thick of the action in Naha, but we did not hear the noise at all. Great spot; we'd stay there again! Thanks to the staff for everything they did for me when I really needed help! Okinawa is wonderful!…
The new wing has modern furniture in the room. Even coffee machine and mobile phone are provided for your convenience. The bed is very comfortable. For a double bed, 2 super-single beds are joined together. The sofa area is turned into an extra bed area. The room is the usual size in Japan (rather small). It is probably spacious for 2 pax. The toilet has a shower area by the tub which helps a lot in showering the kids while filling up the tub. The only downside is that the hotel is undergoing renovation at the whole porch area so there is no shelter for drop-off. You have to stop by the roadside and unload your luggage yourself. The receptionist did not offer any help other than giving you the goods trolley to facilitate in wheeling your luggage into the hotel (not much of a help as it is a small trolley). The hot tub area is new with 2 strong rain showers. Very refreshing! The water is not warm enough and the pool is probably just enough for 6 pax. The Dyson hairdryer is fascinating for new users. You need a separate key for entrance into female hot tub room. The hotel has massage service too. The breakfast is simple. We were provided with packed breakfast on the last day due to early flight. The location is probably the best with so many shops and restaurants nearby. …
