We stayed here for a few days at the end of our 3 week trip to Japan in April and absolutely loved it! The Ryokan is fantastic and the hosts Patrick and Moira are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed complimentary yoga classes and authentic Japanese cooking classes which were superb! Our only regret was not staying longer. I can’t recommend...

My wife and I just spent a week in Ishigaki with Patrick and Miko at Le Lotus Bleu and I have to say it ranks amongst the finest places I have ever stayed. It's easy to get to from the airport, close enough to, but far enough away from, the city and, most crucially, is a beautifully maintained, traditional Japanese...

We spent a wonderful week here, our hosts were charming and helpful, driving us to beautiful spots around the island we would otherwise have missed. A lovely island, very relaxing, and the surrounding sea and corals are fabulous.

We stay two weeks at le lotus bleu with our children. We explored the island and the beaches and enjoyed our time at the lotus. The owners Patrick and Maiko are very friendly - they speak Japanese, French and English - and the house is cool and very quiet. The rooms are simple, you sleep on tatami mats, but everything...

The best place to be in Ishigaki! Not only the ancient house is marvelous, also the hosts were unforgettable. They were always there for answering our questions, guiding us in our discovering of Ishigaki. If you stay there, don't miss the breakfast and the yoga lessons.

We've stayed here for 7 nights in May and we loved it. It's very calm, you only hear the birds (and some other animals?) at night. The rooms are very simple, you sleep on tatami mats, but everything is superclean and tasteful. Breakfast made by Maiko every morning was so good we were actually looking forward to it when we...

This is such a beautiful place to spend a week exploring the stunning island of Ishigaki. Our hosts, Maiko and Patrick are extremely kind and friendly hosts who gave us lots of fantastic advice and even lent us their snorkelling kit to explore the local reef. We opted for breakfast several mornings during our stay and dinner one evening. They...

Amazing place! The guest house is a restored traditional Japanese house. The restoration is very well done, very charming place. Traditional Japanese bedding; not so easy at the beginning but really comfortable. The hosts are wonderful; they can provide lots of much needed information about the island. Ishigaki is really preserved, it is really easy to avoid the crowds and...
