We were given a room that was facing the sea and we stayed two nights. An average yet convenient inn that I would say about Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu. The inn is located at the onsen area which can be reached by foot 10min from the JR Beppu station. Average small room of Japan hotel with public onsen, washing machine, vending machines, microwave and all basic amenities. The breakfast had changed to Japanese set style to due to covid-19 issue but the portion was well thought. The hotel is also the main bus station to tour Beppu and Yufuin. Very convenient.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Allocated on a high floor with sea view. No frills hotel with neat housekeeping, tiny cubicle bathroom and self service amenities. Only tea is provided no coffee. Car park is free so that’s a bonus. Location is central to Hells of Beppu, 7 Eleven is next door and about 40minutes drive to Yufuin.
We stayed here for 3nights and it was very comfortable. Bed was firm but bathroom a bit small. We liked the onsen, so the small bathroom didn’t bother us. The onsen on 2/f is amazing but can get a bit crowded during peak hours. There is one indoor and one outdoor onsen. We didn’t try the breakfast because they close pretty early and we woke up late most mornings. We were told that the breakfast prices had increased from ¥500 to 800. There is a Starbucks opposite the hotel, and plenty of eating places. Lawsons and 7Eleven is also nearby so no worries with getting amenities and snacks.
Excellent location 10 minutes walk from the train station. Actually the best way to get into the city is not the train is the bus. The bus station is Right front of the hotel. The hotel is very clean. The room is bit of a small size. One of the front staff Miss TANAKA spoke very floral English and very attend to help. Many suggestions to make the local trip more pleasant.
Stayed here for four nights, everything is fine. The best thing for those who won’t drive , you can just take the airport limousine bus from Fukuoka airport , and it stops right in front of the hotel. If you want to visit the “Hell” onsen, you can join the 3 hours bus tour or buy the bus ticket next to the hotel , and the bus stops are all near by. If you want to go to yufurin, the tourist bus also stops right in front of the hotel for every one hour. The breakfast and the public bath are great! Best of all, a shopping mall with supermarket is just at the opposite , and a bigger one just requires 10mins walk. The front desk staff is kind too, she reminds me there are two nights of fireworks on the seaside during my stay. Looking for a hassle free trip, you can consider to stay in this hotel. …
Stayed here during the RWC and we booked early so got a good price. There is a really good onsen facility there which came in handy, and the rooms were good and comfortable. It's less than a 10 minute walk to Beppu station and there is a big Yakiniku BBQ place next door, as well as a Starbucks and other bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. If you really want the full onsen experience and want to splurge, this is not the place, but if you want a reasonably priced option in a good location, then this is a good option.
Stayed here for 3 nights whilst watching some rwc games in oita. Lovely hotel, very modern and has a large sized onsen for relaxing in after a long day walking. Plenty of bars and restaurants around the area and staff are happy to help you plan out what to do and give out their personal recommendations.
Check-in was very fast and the front-desk staff speak good English. It was a little bit of a walk (10 - 15 min) from the Beppu train station but very easy to locate. The room is modern, wifi stable & enough space to move around. I enjoyed the public bath which is very clean and spacious. There is both an indoor bath and outdoor bath. After a long day walking, the bath is an enjoyment. There is Lawson & Starbucks at the mall across the hotel so very convenient if you need to pick a quick-bit, snacks or coffee. Breakfast is also very good with wide selection of Japanese breakfast items and 2 soup selection. The coffee is decent too.
We stayed four nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean, had all the necessary amenities, no outside noise and the beds were comfortable. Internet free and fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking free and if the lot is full they extra space in the near vicinity. The onsen was a real treat with different baths and a sauna. Breakfast was fine, but closed at 9.30 which we found a bit early. Ten would be nicer. Cleaning the room always done before 12.00 if you leave your room 10.00 latest. The hotel is near restaurants and opposite one the main department stores.
Stayed here for a night in time for the city’s annual summer beach festival, and it was a 5 minute to the heart of the action. The breakfast was good, all the Japanese type of breakfast you could ask for, grilled salmon, rice, miso soup, congee, several types of coffee, scrambled eggs, Japanese omelets’, sausages….you get the drift. The parking is free too if you are driving. The rooms and toilets are a bit small but bearable. What we did for shower was we went to their hot spring bath. After a long day, it’s nice to get a nice hot dip before sleep time. Plus the shower pressure at the onsen was awesome. We even went there for our morning shower before breakfast. Many family restaurants nearby including Jolly Pasta and I think it was Royal host, and of course convenient stores. Overall for the price, the value was outstanding.…
