You could do a lot worse. This hotel was recommended to me and it lived up to its billing. As a former Holiday Inn, the room size reflects Western sensibilities. At that, it was only average sized, but (I'm told) far larger than rooms at other properties in the area. Everything was clean and well cared for. I opted for... More

This hotel has nice sized rooms, and it's close to the US Navy base. Also close to the shopping district. Front desk staff is friendly. Shooter's bar across the street is a good place to stop after work. Overall, I'll be staying here every time I come to Sasebo!!

Just above budget , this centrally located hotel has all you will need for a few day stay. No it's not glamorous , but it's near the Ginza shopping, and also ( for military families ) near the Navy Base. Pillows are not good, but it's clean, quiet, and (,except for the pillows) comfortable. We had trouble with the wi... More

I stayed at the Chisun Grand for a work trip. Great location at the end of the Ginza, very close to Sasebo Naval Base, a quick walk to great restaurants. Good wifi for free, great room amenities (fridge in the room for Chu His, most important!) Very spacious room, comfortable beds, even for my non-Japanese back. The staff is very... More

Chisun Grand was convenient and clean with nice amenities except for lack of lotion and coffee. We reserved 2 rooms, 2 adults each through Expedia noting that one would have a 3 year old. Our rooms had towels for one. Extra towels were quickly supplied but no sheets were available for the youngster to sleep on the loveseat. [There was... More

Stayed one night whilst travelling around Japan. Very spacious room compared with others that we had stayed in which was nice. Location was near shopping and restaurants and not far from station. Wifi was important to us and it was very good and complimentary. Good shower and bathroom amenities, staff very pleasant and efficient on checkin and checking out. They... More

I stayed at the Chisun Grand Hotel in Sasebo, Japan in April 2015 on a business trip. The staff was very nice throughout my stay. They all spoke enough English to understand what I needed. The room was very nice, looked newly remodeled and was extremely quiet. The bathroom also looked new and was clean. My room had a small... More

The staff was always quick to help and always an English speaking member to help with translation. Room was spacey and was exactly like the picture shown on the website. There was no microwave in the room but there was a small refrigerator. I believe there was a microwave located on the second floor (another guest told me but i... More

“Remember that there are smoking rooms so make sure what you are reserving. Bring a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter if you have plugs with 3 prongs for you electronics (I attached a picture, but kind of blurry). Also, when making a reservation you must ask them to add the meal plan if you want breakfast included.”
