Tight room with little space when baggage is placed on the floor. Beware of the one foot step into bathroom. Easily trip and fall in middle of night. The onsen is just luke warm (40degrees), not hot enough to my liking. The hotel breakfasts is one of the best, cooks who prepare the food with a heart. Every morning at 6:30am, a long line of queue is form at the restaurant entrance, most of them local working people of all sorts. Main street is deserted and souless after dark, in the middle of nowhere. 2-3 tram stops or 10-15 brisk walk to the nearest shopping and restaurants.
As the title suggests, the service here was impeccable and they did everything to accommodate our requests. The hotel is located in a quiet part of Kumamoto about a 5 minute tram ride or 15 minute walk from Kumamoto station. It is also about a 10 minute walk from the main shopping district. One of the big draw cards for me was the natural hot springs that were open all night. Overall I highly recommend it.
The hotel is well located. Close to the city center and the station afoot or by tram. The staff was nice, speaking a bit of english and the room clean and confortable. Very good bed. The wifi was OK and the breakfast copious but only japanese style. The public bath was a bit small.
hotel and rooms are very clean, but room size and hot spa space are no so large. access from city center is about 10-15 min on foot. no restaurants near hotel. you have to type 8digits pin code when go in room instead of room key. but room price is reasonable from other hotels in kumamoto city.
It is a basic hotel with minimal frills. Rooms are small but they are clean and with all the basics. Since the price is really good, it offer very good value for money. Staff are very friendly and he service is good. It is a real treat that I could enjoy the onsen after a day's travelling around in the city and neighbouring areas. While the location is not next to the busy shopping district nor the castle, it is convenient to take the tram and if it is not hot, in fact the castle can be within walking distance.
