Slightly away from the centre of town (5 - 10 minute walk) but don't let that put you off! The hosts are a wonderful couple who cannot do enough for you. Sizuo-San will pick you up from the railway station and will insist on driving you into town, and back, on every occasion. He recommended several restaurants, all off which...

We went to Nikko in November in which there was nothing to see much. Most leaves fell from trees. We was almost disappointed by Nikko. Fortunately, we choosed to Stay at Rindou no ie, which was our game-changer. The house owners are nice and humble. The room was big. There was also green tea powder available in the room with...

Cleanliness is norm for accommodation in Japan. Making things clean is easy but the great hospitality and services by heart cannot be found everywhere. Shizuo-san and Keiko-san were two of the kindest guesthouse owners I have even stayed with. Thank you for all you help and hospitality, if I am to visit Nikko again, I cannot stay at some where...

I had read the good reviews about this guesthouse, but even so my visit exceeded my expectations. I booked a 3 night stay and was made to feel very welcome - like an honoured guest. My train arrived from Tokyo about noon and after getting information at the Tourist Centre at the JR Train station, the Tourist Information Officer phoned...

The star of this place is no doubt the hosts Keiko-San and Sizuo-San. Their warm, welcoming and helpful gestures makes everything else not matter. Not that everything else are bad, in fact they're pretty good. Set up like a ryokan, the place feels homely and the rooms are comfy and reasonably spacious. Wish I had stayed another note. Oh and...

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owners are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Don't let the location put you off. During our two night stay, Shizo never once let us walk anywhere. He always insisted on driving us to our destination and picking us up when we were ready to come back to Rindo...

Wonderful and super helpful hosts. Breakfast was just amazing, prepared with so much attention that makes difficult to believe they can make any profit with it. Just 20-25min walk from the ancient temples. Visit Lake Chuzenji and surroundings is a must. Nikko is worth visiting if being around Tokyo and the hotel the place to stay. Definetely a place to...

We enjoyed very much a familiar atmosphere. It was our first Japanese accomodation and couldn't be better. They are gentle, polite, helpful and clean. I wish other country would copy the excellent accommodation you can find in Japan.

If you are coming to nikko, this is the place to stay. Shizo and keiko San are the nicest people you will meet as hosts. Shizo San is very willing to drive you to and from the place, even though the walk from the station isn't really that bad. The room was perfect with heating and comfortable beds. But I...

Let me just say that it was MY privilege to have been hosted by Sizuo-san. From the first moment we met till the last moment when we said goodbye, he was always accommodating and willing to be of assistance to ALL his guests. Location: if you're walking from TOBU station it's about 15mins, with the last part uphill. Knowing this,...
