The place is about 30 min bus ride from Hakone Yumoto station, which is great for relaxation. The room is big with a private outdoor hot spring which we had to brace ourselves in the cold winter to enjoy the hot spring outdoor. The check in / out are smooth and we enjoyed wearing the yukata robe provided. The food...

We booked two nights here at the end of our time in Japan to get a real feel for traditional culture. It may be as much to do with us as the ryokan but it was not a success. The supposedly 'Western-style' room had hard mattresses on the floor and a tiny far from clean bathroom that was really a...

This was the best Rokan ever! I loved how spacious it was. And the bath is totally worth it. The dinner was fun , and getting the robe and the slippers (free to use) was amazing and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Near the Venetian Glass Museum. The room was pleasantly big, but I think it could do with better cleaning of the bath area as mold was building up and cobwebs on the ceiling. Overall, the place was comfortable and food served was plenty. I do wish that there was a better view out the window but I can only see...

We stayed here for a few nights at the end of our trip but we weren't really keen. The rooms were nice and clean but the food really let it down. The first night was a fondue but had pork which I don't eat. There wasn't the range of food that we had at other ryokans that we stayed at....

Sengokuhara Shinanoki Ichinoyu's location is quite strategic. Hakone's major sightseeing spots and Gotemba Premium Outlet are within 30 minutes drive. Not difficult to be found with GPS. Car park space is really tight. So be sure to request for a prior reservation if you need one. Check-in and check-out were very efficient though. Staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke...

This is our first time to Hakone and stayed in ryokan. Stayed 2 nights at this fantastic ryokan. The place is easily located next to main bus stop and main street to move about to Gotemba and Togendai. We stayed in a Japanese style room with indoor open air bath, which is superb and the water was forever kept to...

We have been there for 1 night, the place is great, a bit hard to find, but very close to a bus stop makes it convenient to travel around. The dinner is very tasty!!! we stayed in a room with a private onsen, which we highly recommend.

We opted for a room in the annex with a private onsen, and actually had a small detached building all to ourselves! There was a living room, bathroom and shower downstairs, which led on to the little onsen at the back outside. Upstairs was the bedroom and small dressing area. Overall very spacious and a great place for a relaxing...
