I travelled to this ryokan with my mum and it was a fantastic experience! Right from the start, this ryokan is near the train station (Ajiro) which is also easy to get to from Tokyo (we travelled from Shinjuku station). It takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get from Ajiro station to the ryokan and that involves travelling up...

Very easy to get to from TKY - we flex into Haneda at 1:30 and were in our room over looking the Pacific by 4. This place was very peaceful, and the views spectacular. The food was unbelievable - Kaiseki style and a whole lot of it. The in room baths were perfect, and the trip to the public and...

I did a thorough research of Japanese ryokan around Atami and came to conclusion that this would be a perfect place for 6 of us (3 couples) after reading many reviews. I made reservations 5 months ahead, and they were excellent in responding to my requests over emails(I wrote to them in Japanese), I chose to stay in the Special...

Our Japanese friends booked this ryokan for us, not sure how we're going to reciprocate if they come to visit us. Everything was marvellous. The room was huge and had everything you could possible wish for, including a toilet that greeted you as you entered the bathroom. The best bit was the onsen on the balcony complete with outdoor shower...

Finally managed to visit this superb little onsen ryokan perched on a hillside facing the Pacific Ocean. Took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Atami - about 45 minutes. From there, a local train to Ajiro station. The station manager there kindly called the ryokan, which sent a van to pick us up from the station. Although no one there spoke...

This was my second stay at Mizuno. I chose to stay here again because I wanted my daughter and her BF to experience the REAL Japanese hospitality. This small ryokan is located in Ajiro, It only takes less than 2 hours from Tokyo by either Shinkansen (change train at Atami) or non stop by Odoriko ( express train to Izu...

This place is 1.5hrs express train from Tokyo or Shizuoka. Service, Room, Food, and the spring are perfect! The hotel has a big garden and inside and outside-ocean view public spring(Male/Female seperated), and ocean view food spring. Which is 100% spring but filtered. The Spring inside the room is 100% original spring, different size comes with different room, must check...

The experience we had was so excellent that I don't even know how to begin. The service was impeccable - from picking us up from the train station, setting up our room (e.g. setting up our tatami every night), serving us meals, reserving various things for us, to arranging and showing us where to visit in neighboring towns. The meals...
