The hotel is situated near the Kanazawa Station. The lobby is spectacular and the staff very friendly and efficient. The rooms are small by North American standards, but very clean and well appointed. The walls seem rather thin as you can sometimes hear your neighbours, but we were not disturbed during our two-night stay. In my view, the bed was...

The Nikko hotel is supposed to be the best hotel in Kanazawa and... it is! The beautiful flowers and fountain in the lobby give an immediate impression of glamour and luxury. The rooms do not dissapoint either: they're large and well appointed. There are several restaurants and it's just across the street to the Kanazawa station, so very practical.

This Nikko is gorgeous and convenient (2 short blocks) to the train station as well as the city buses. We were in Kanazawa for 3 nights and this was the perfect base for traveling around the city. Our room was lovely and a good size by Japan hotel standards. We did not eat at the hotel as the station and...

The hotel is a short walk from the wonderful train station where you can also catch a bus to see the castle and gardens. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a room on a high floor with views to the sea. The other side has views of the mountains which is much nicer. The room...

So disappointed with this hotel. Drinks hideously expensive- more than the mandarin oriental in Tokyo which is beautiful and stylish. This hotel is in a shopping centre and cannot justify the price. The room paid for is not what was expected: is tiny with a small window next to the service lift which is continuous day and night. I'm convinced...

We were in Kanazawa for an overnight trip and stayed at the Nikko hotel. It is very conveniently located, right across from the train and bus station. We could easily take the city loop bus to visit the key sights including the Botanic garden and the old district. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The room is comfortably furnished with...

Wow! This was the most beautiful hotel room that I've stayed and so spacious! It also was a bargain at $150 USD! Huge bed, sitting area, bar, desk, gorgeous furnishings and lovely. The bathroom was the most spectacular....large space...double sinks, then glass sculpture lit from under as nightlight...deluxe toilet that had a sensor so when you got close...cover rose, seat...

A clean and reasonably comfortable hotel which is very well situated close to the main line railway station in downtown Kanazawa. The main tourist attractions (Kenrou-en Gardens, Samurai district etc) are within a fifteen minute drive by taxi. The reception area is bright, airy and well-appointed but the bedrooms and bathroom are very small and cramped and there is very...

The room was small with a small bed, placed against the wall, with only a single bedside table. For all intents and purposes it is a single room, suited for a single adult. Not a double. The only big thing about this room is the price - more than US$300 a night.
