Our experience was not good. Nobody to show you to your room, explain how things work. Worst room in hotel, matchbox size, futon pushed against the wall, no sink in bathroom, just toilet and sliding door to shower.
This our first experience in a ryokan (Japanese style inn). We liked the whole idea of walking shoe-less in the hotel (shoes are left in a locker at hotel entry), clad in the kimono supplied by the hotel with special socks.

Joy this place is not really a ryokan. It is a Japanese hotel in the city. There are lots of places to have dinner within a 5-10 minute walk. We had our breakfasts included in our room and it was great
