Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Needed somewhere to self isolate before going home. A great deal for this hotel in Nagoya. Reception staff spoke great English and were all so helpful! My room was cleaned well every day and the location in Sakae across from Matsuzakaya is excellent...with a Lawson’s convenience store on the ground floor. The bathroom is a little bit on the small side...but the bed is big and comfortable. The free wifi worked very well and the window can be opened if you ask the reception staff. All in all a great choice in Nagoya....would definitely stay again at this price!

The check in was slow and ponderous even though nobody else checking in! Staff very pleasant and polite and room was clean and appreciated the upgrade. Good location for Sakae a few minutes away and for 'serous shoppers' with Lactic opposite.

Perfect location for us as my wife wanted to shop at the various department stores and they are just across the street. They are all only a few minutes walk so we could drop back at the hotel and continue our shipping spree. Speaking of which, the summer sale (end of June to mid July) isn't running discounts as big as we hoped. Now about the hotel, check-in was okay, wasn't super quick but staff were all very friendly and spoke English. Room was bigger than expected. Only downside is the bathroom is a bit dated with yellowish-white colour. I will give 5 start score if the bathroom is newer and has better ventilation. On the plus side, there's a LAWSON convenience store just below the hotel so it's perfect for a late night snack or dessert. Finally, despite hotel faces towards a busy road, the rooms faces the side street, so it's not very noisy. I stayed on 4th floor, so I imagine it would be quieter if you stay higher up.

Great Location and wonderful staff. A short walk away from the subway where you can then catch a train or just explore the city of Nagoya. The staff is very attentive and very helpful. In hotel self laundry was affordable and has modern washer and dryer combo. The rooms werent big but very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The hotel is a short subway ride from Nagoya Station and is in a generally superb location to explore Nagoya's attractions. Most prominent is Nagoya TV Tower, which is within walking distance. Various shopping and dining options are nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me into my room early. The hotel has self-serve laundry facilities. My room was basic, but very clean. Perfect for solo travelers or couples. Be aware that most of the rooms do not have any sort of view (facing neighbouring high-rises). Perhaps south-facing rooms near the main road have better vistas, but I cannot confirm.

Last month I stayed hotel ‘the b Nagoya’, the location is very nice only 0.5km from Sakae subway. Room space is too limited and bathroom also too tiny. Small lobby with free coffee that’s it but costs high. Major convenient is the hotel is main commercial area so you can move everywhere by walking.

The location is very good, though we did have a hard time finding for the first time, thanks to the Google Map directions. After which we found out it is near the subway and have many departmental stores, supermarkets and eateries around the area. There are 3 convenient stores near the hotel too. Oasis 21 can be reached by foot, if you don't mind walking, like we did. The hotel is the only one which offered us complementary coffee with an espresso machine at the lobby, among all that we had stayed this trip. They even provide paper cups with cover which you could take away to your room or bring along while you are out. It also offered 2 lab tops at the lobby for you to use, except the default language is Japanese which is a little troublesome for us. The staff were helpful when you asked them for information, except they were all not smiling liked others we met elsewhere. So let you feel that they are more like on duty but not with enthusiasm or passion in serving. My husband likes this hotel especially the location and the amenities around it, so would come back or recommend friends to this hotel. Personally, I do like this hotel but find that at its grade, the rates are of the high side even it's on offer. Actually the highest of all the similar grade hotels we had stayed during this trip.

Had a great time here. Mostly quiet hotel minutes from subway. Beds are comfy and include a good comforter. Free coffee in the lobby too. The attached restaurant is good, and while they don’t speak English, they had enough ability and willingness to communicate with non-Japanese speakers.
