The place is relatively new and so the rooms are still fresh. Loved the spacious nature of the place along with most amenities. Breakfast was excellent, but can become crowded at high season. Pools are ok but nothing to write home about. The beach was a disappointment with the artificial lagoon clearly not working out; smells bad and looks unclean. Spa is nice and might be worth the investment at +20 USD per person per day.

The Good: 1. The rooms. Nice , modern, clean. Well equipped. Especially the regency suite. Beds are comforable, and nice touch with the Nespresso machine. 2. Breakfast quality, quite good. Efficient staff running the breakfast area. Even though was crowded, still you are seated fast, and get your coffee tea etc.. in reasonable time. 3. The Spa. Love it.. Gym is reasonably equipped (don't expect to do heavy lifting), but does the job for a short stay. The Steam room , and cold plunge pool was great. 4. Pool next to the spa (no children allowed) . Wicked / nice pool, quiet and lovely to spend the whole day there. 5. Water Obstacle course on the beach. Our kids loved this. Nice touch 6. Though variety of food was not the greatest, whatever they had was good quality. (most of the time). The odd time you would get things not quite right, and you need to send it back. 7. Staff are generally well trained / and get things done in reasonable time. (Most of the time. During rush hours expect delays!) 8. Regency club lounge, was nice place to hang out 6-8pm during happy hour. Good selection of alcoholic drinks, canapeys, etc.. The not so good. (can't say its bad, just not good) 1. This not a kids friendly hotel. Pools are too small, too crowded. Shame they did not plan this hotel as a true resort, with massive pools, so you could lounge all day, with the kids. There is very little choices available for pools if you have kids. And the one which does allow the kids is super tiny, and not really appetizing. shame.. This is the really down point for me. 2. The beach was ok, nice enough, but since it was man made, it felt claustrophobic when it gets busy, and i am not sure how well circulated the water in there really is. 3. Beach was not serviced well. You need to bring a heavy duty police siren for the guys to come to you, or get their attention. 4. The free water service ends at like 3 or 4pm. Does not make sense, when we were there in july its like 45degC out there. Why do they stop the water service, and you have to pay for the bottled water... Not a good move. 5. Parts of the beach sand is already eroded away. I believe they need to pay attention to these details, and refill the sand. 6. No variety of restaurents. You are left with almost nothing to eat in this hotel. There is only an italian restaurent, and the lounge. That's it. If you staying more than 2 nights, be prepared to go out of the hotel, otherwise, there is not much choice. 7. Though staff are very polite and well mannered, you do seem to get them immediately defensive when you complain, and they try to justify the thing you say was not good, that it was like or that. (i.e. trying to convince you it is OK). But really, this is not a good way for speaking to customer who is usually always right! We had an incident with our kids ordering ice cream which on the menu said that it had toppings, but they received plain ice cream. When we complained, the answers where not up to the mark. In the end we got one ice cream free, but for a resort of this quality, such things are not expected. 8. Kids club was closed. (I guess COVID-19 issues, but seems strange since not much social distancing or mask wearing goes on. Yes, inside the lobby you get the odd staff asking you wear a mask when the manager is around, but other than that, no mask wearing). 9. Not much water sports available on the beach. (Since man made beach...). (No jet skit, no banana, etc..). Just you get stand up board / water cycle. 10. Confusing signage. I guess they need to ask their money back for the guy who designed the signage. it is very confusing, and not easy to know your way around. We barrly got the hang of it, after the 3rd day. 11. There isn't much to do... In the end, very nice hotel, I would return to it, but it isn't a resort for kids, and expectations need to be reduced in order to enjoy it.

Great design and amenities, delicious open buffet. Very nice pool area. Generally the reception staff were good, but wasn’t given a nice room in the beginning, one guys promised us to follow up and find us a room with a better view, but he completely forgot about us and didn’t care much (unfortunately can’t remember his name). Ali - the assistant manager - gave us a better room and he is the one who made our stay feel better. I think you should focus on training your front office staff, to provide a consistent service.

From the moment we set foot into this resort, the wonderful staff has done everything they could to ensure our stay was perfect. From transportation, to breakfast, to the amenities, and to the lovely location, everything was absolutely perfect. Jalal drove us to the resort from the airport, and drove us around to several parts of the resort to avoid the heat, and he was very patient and great the whole time. The security was top notch, and my family felt safe the entire time we were here. They take COVID-19 measures very seriously for the health and safety of the visitors, which made us feel very comfortable here. The housekeeping team was amazing, Shadi (Abu Yosra) went above and beyond when ensuring our room was kept in perfect condition, and left lovely towel art that looked like the work of a true artist. Everyone was very patient and accommodating for my daughter with epilepsy, and ensured that she had a good time during our stay, while being safe and happy. When the heat caused her to have several seizures, Sharif gave us a ride back to the hotel from the store, and even bought her water very quickly to help cool her down. From the moment we made our reservation, Sana Al-Ramahi has been wonderful in making sure that every part of our stay was amazing. She is a true professional, who does her work quickly, with a smile on her face, and she truly shows that she cares about the guest. The lifeguards at the pools and La Plage were all amazing, they kept checking up on my daughter in case of her seizures happening, and were very kind. Liz from the kitchen was so accommodating, she made sure that our breakfast was here early enough so that my daughter could eat in time for her morning medication, and Liz always made sure that we started our days off with an amazing meal. Overall, the room was an 11/10, it was so clean, large, and everything was beautiful. The rest of the resort was the same. I highly recommend staying here if you come visit Aqaba, it was the experience of a lifetime. I apologize if I’ve left out any names, but everyone here has been so great, and for that I am sure I will stay here again in the future, I highly recommend it.

Recently, my wife and son decided to rest in a country other than a standard country, like Turkey and Egypt, and went to Jordan, Aqaba. Had a rest at the Hyatt Regency and it was the most wonderful stay in the last few years. Surprisingly, the hotel had a varied animation program and the kindest and most helpful animators I have met. On a daily basis, my son attended paintfacing and returned to dinner dressed in various superheroes and incredibly happy. Every day he wanted to see the animator Alina and for that special thanks to her. The variety of programs included various interactive sports such as volleyball and kayaking, so that you did not get bored even for a minute. Well, at the end of the day, Alina and Nastya conducted relaxing yoga for my wife and me on a daily basis. We were satisfied with everyone and we will thoroughly repeat our trip to Aqaba. Thanks a lot Alina and Nastya for different entertainment during my rest. Nice to meet you)
