The staff was extremely helpful in picking us up at the airport and arranging the traditional hike to Victoria Falls as well as a non-traditional round trip to the Kazungula Ferry to see the point where four countries meet and return immediately. The rooms were nothing special but better than most backpackers I've been to. The common area is divided... More

Nicely looking place, swimming pool, dorms are spacious, no mozzie nets so bring your own. Lots of loungy places and for a small donation you can read their books or swap one for one. There are also plenty of activities to book and nice (cheap) restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Wasn't a fan of the showers coz of the enormous amount... More

Excellent Place. They arrange all you need to do in Livingstone. Just to let you know that you will need anti mosquitos and cash. The kitchen of the restaurant closes most of the days at 4: Pm If you visit the place in Novembrer or during the dry season see the falls from Zimbawe. Zambia is not worthy.

This is our 9th city in the past two months and we were recommended JollyBoys in Zambia but was quite disappointed. The location is great and from the outside the place looks great however once settled in you will notice the cleanliness and hygiene of this place is horrible. We stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom... The... More

We loved this place ! We stayed 2 nights after a long 21 day overland truck tour. This place has something for everyone, all ages, we had a nice room with AC. The entire property is very well kept and clean. We were pleased with our room. The AC worked well. Good shelves and large bathroom AC was such a... More

I stayed in Jollyboys for 4 weeks last year. It was amazing and had the best time. The hostel itself is brilliant, the bar is great and does a great range of food. The transfers are brilliant. It's sociable. The rooms are cleaned every day. The staff are helpful at booking trips and helping you plan travel. It's ideal for... More

It was only Kim's over-the-top helpfulness in things to see/do and the nice little on-premises cafe that saved this hostel from being a poorly rated facility. The bottom of the pool wasn't visible and there were a plethora of roaches in the poorly-equipped kitchen as well as some spotted in two of our rooms.

A friend and I spent four nights at Jollyboys a couple weeks ago. It was a great atmosphere with a friendly staff. Our first morning there, we were able to book everything we wanted to do for the rest of the week, including Devil's Pool, rafting the Zambezi, and safari in Chobe. They gave useful suggestions which allowed us to... More

Jollyboys Backpackers was a phenomenal hostel, situated in a great location. Staff were incredibly helpful at all times - both at the reception and at the tour booking desk. Property grounds were beautiful, well maintained, and far exceeded all of mine expectations. This is, by far, one of the best hostels that I have stayed at. This hostel is fairly... More

I stayed here with a friend for a few nights and we really enjoyed it. The bar area is fun at night and the drinks are good prices. It's a good location and you can venture into town and feel safe. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Bring your own lock and you can use their communal lockers... More
