Chanters Lodge offers comfortable accommadation set around a well kept garden and swimming pool. The lodge is a short walk or taxi ride from the town centre, making it easy to access shops, restaurants and banks. The restaurant offers a large selection of very tasty food, both African dishes and Western food, at good prices. The lodge's owner and namesake...

My partner and I spent 3 days at the Chanters Lodge in Livingstone back in April to enjoy Victoria Falls after a trip to South Africa. We flew to Livingstone directly from Mpumalanga Airport near the Kruger National Park and flew back to Joburg on our way back. If you are looking for basic and affordable lodgings in this Zambian...

Hello, We were at Chanters lodge during 12 days. The lodge is clean, with a beautiful garden and good food. Richard gives good tips for excursions and his hospitality is great. The staff is very polite and helpfully. Richard brings you to the falls, to the airport and so on. We enjoyed our stay there. Hans and Susan Kalle The...

We stayed at Chanters for a couple of nights when we first arrived in Zambia before an overland trip to Kenya. Richard collected us from the airport and chatted about what we'd like to do on the drive to the hotel. Within 10 minutes of arrival we had confirmed bookings for walking with lions and swimming in the falls, very...

Thanks for your great review! We were pleased you enjoyed our facilities and service as well as your activities. Your review made us laugh - we're not sure these days that it's really sensible supporting the football club you mention, but you know, life sometime throws you lemons! Thanks again!

We had a wonderful stay at Chanters Lodge. Our host, Richard Chanter, was engaging, helpful and provided just the right amount of attention and recommendations. Food was fine. The lodge provides a good base from which to get to know Livingstone. Defintely recommend a room on the pool side in order to enjoin the garden.

Chanters Lodge is a comfortable, budget hotel near the centre of Livingstone. Richard Chanter provides great personal and friendly service. The recommendations he and his staff made about which of the many Livingstone attractions to enjoy were spot on.

Richard and his staff were tremendous hosts ! Nothing was ever a problem. Having now spoken to other people who were in Livingstone at the time and staying at the more 'packaged' type hotels at the river edge (somewhat sterile to us - we also visited one or two whilst we were there), we now know that they have lost...

Richard is what makes Chanters Lodge! His service is excellent and he is attentive to every need. He picked us up form the airport, helped us organise sightseeing trips, sorted out every small problem we may have had and keeps his staff very much in check! We would definitely recommend Chanter's Lodge to anyone. Richard had been concerned we would...

I stayed here for three days during my stay in Zambia along with two other friends. We stayed in the family room, which had ample room. For the price, the room was definitely well worth it. My only issue with the room was that hot water wasn't always available in the shower. I'm not sure if it had to power...

Thanks for your review. We're really sorry about the hot water, this wouldn't have had anything to do with the power outages as we have a 25kva stand-by generator. I don't remember a report coming to me on this matter, perhaps our staff forgot. Each room has an individual hot water geyzer and problems are usually fairly quick and easy...
