We have just had a great one day stay at Sheraton Sharjah. It has a beautiful infinity pool and private beach. I am impressed by the customer service with smile and by the effort to speak 'thank you' in Korean. A special mention to Essam who tried to provide better service to us. Overall a brilliant place for relaxing.
Stayed 2+ weeks and experienced all the good and bad of this hotel. In short, there is an absence of management in every part of the hotel and as a result the service is very poor. Examples: They say the gym is 24 hours, but each morning it was locked. I asked for it to be unlocked at a certain time for each day of my stay... it didn't happen. Every day I had to call and ask. A/C in the rooms did not work correctly. The thermostat was broken. We tried to explain it to multiple levels of staff and engineering and no-one had a clue how the system works. One set of outlets in one off our rooms was burnt out. Clear safety hazard. The hotel's initial solution was "just don't use it". After complaining to management, finally it was rewired and replaced. Room cleaning - often had to call several times Restaurants - most were closed. Only the buffet was open and it gets pretty boring. I have to say the service in Gusti was not bad, but the service at the beach-side all day dining place was glacially slow. It took us several days to teach them how to make oatmeal porridge... and then they would have a shift change and we would have t re-educate the new staff. Taxi's don't like to come to this place and it's off of the normal booking services (Uber, Careem) most of the time. Sharjah taxi's are cash only which is also inconvenient. Pool was ice cold. Beach was OK. Kids club was very nice. Some really nice girls working in there who were great with kids. It must also be noted for those who like to have a beer after a long hot day that this hotel, like all of Sharjah, does not serve alcohol at all. On the occasions where we did complain to management and ask for senior management attention, the mid managers clearly: a) couldn't handle the issues b) were terrified to escalate the issues to their top management That plus the lack of any management presence around the hotel is probably why the service is so bad.…
An impending long break was what this EID holidays gave an opportunity to plan and enjoy. One of the decisions was to stay in Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa. This was probably the first hotel we chose in Sharjah. The drive from Jabel Ali to Sheraton was fortunately smooth since it was a holiday and not too much traffic on the way. We reached in about 45 minutes. The location of the hotel was very nice...you could see the vast ocean stretch adjoining the hotel. The building design and structure itself was different from the usual designs found in the Dubai or Abu Dhabi. A rustic and inclined to traditional design with a sandy shade of brown. The lobby was nice and fortunately was not too crowded. The room size was reasonably big for a family of 3-4. The balcony was also of a reasonable size. The amenities provided were good and the linen was neat. We decided to explore the hotel. Our little daughter could not wait to go to the swimming pool. We found the pool....and voila!!! It was a wonderful view...the beautiful ocean in the background of the infinity pool was amazing. Walking a little further, we reached the beach and it was a clean one. One point to remember especially for first timers...Sharjah is a dry emirate (No Alcohol Served). Room Service menu is limited. And the breakfast buffet spread was also not too elaborate but satisfying. Staff and personnel were professional. Overall stay was good. One can surely try it out.…
