Hotel Palmea's prime location is celebrated by guests for its closeness to beaches and local attractions, enhancing their vacation experience. However, the hotel seems to fall short in other areas, with numerous travelers expressing discontent regarding room cleanliness, size, and maintenance. While opinions on cleanliness are divided, with some acknowledging tidy spaces, others point to neglected bathrooms and inadequate housekeeping. The amenities are appreciated, but the early pool closure and sparse all-inclusive options, coupled with a lack of entertainment, disappoint. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned as guests encounter unexpected charges and poor-quality food and drinks, feeling that the hotel doesn't live up to its advertised rating. Service quality also varies greatly, with instances of both commendable staff encounters and frustrating interactions with unprofessional personnel.

We stayed from the 5th October to the 12th.
When we arrived we was greeted by Sena at reception she was great and nice.
Are room was above reception when entering the room it was clean and tidy.
After day 2 I realised that the room hadn't been cleaned still and when asked why they said they had to many check outs and run out of time on both days to clean room so I made the manager call them back and clean it.
Everyday after the room was cleaned.

As for the food I think you get what you pay for. Every English person always complains about the food in every hotel in turkey.
They are not there just to cater for the English
And also if the English didn't abuse the staff and sit there getting drunk every day and arguing with each other then I think they would be more polite to them and also over English people could enjoy their holiday as well.
The breakfast wasn't great I admit.
Lunch and dinner you had selection of food plus at 15.00 you had burgers for snacks that I also so people eating at the hotel even though they didn't like the food (apparently).
They also gave us a clean room to shower in and get changed before leaving for the airport.
Most hotels in Marmaris finish all inclusive when you check out at midday now but this hotel let you continue using it.
I have to say Sena was great at reception and staff were great with us so just goes to show if you respect them they will respect you. Considering that you are in their country.

Where do i start. Arrived at hotel, me and my 2 sons, Firstly we were given a twin room. Came back to reception with all our luggage, were then given a room which had just been emptied by prev occupants and not cleaned. Returned back to reception to be given another room (unbeleivable). Luckily our stay was just on Bed & Breakfast basis, breakfast was the worst i have ever had. No toaster, orange juice was just water, disgisting taste. Only muesli and coco pops as cerials. Not much else looked eatable. The poor cleaner was just overworked and got angry/shouted at us when i asked for room cleaning via reception as thought i had made a complaint. Crazy. The pool are was the only positive as had table tennis, water polo facilities and a water slide (which was closed more than open). The bathroom lighting was very dull, shower drain was blocked, luckily spotted a maintenance guy who sorted it. On one positive was the a/c which was was very good. No iron to borrow. This is a very honest review to inform others when booking. I would give this at best a 3 star hotel. Internet was very erratic, disconnecting every few minutes if you were lucky to connect. Average hotel although the pictures make it look really attractive etc.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Palmea (5th July 2022 to 12th July 2022). We were on holiday myself and my 3 grown up children as we needed a break due to something that had happened at home. Firstly there was nothing really we would eat for breakfast, if you liked salad for breakfast then it would have been good, but hardly any fruit (only Melon) no toast (or toaster), bread that you cut yourself (everyone was touching the bread) then you were expected to eat it (this isn't covid friendly). The bar closes at 10:30pm, the male bar staff are really friendly but there is a female bar member who is not so friendly. The dining staff are all very friendly and polite, I feel the food could be made better so people can actually enjoy a meal without having to go and eat out. The room cleaners didn't want to give clean towels daily, all they kept on saying is no its finished (even though we had not any a change of towels). I would go to Turkey again but would not stay at this hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever. Now I’m aware that you get what you pay for however this was absolutely horrific. I read through the reviews online before booking and decided that there was a fair amount of bad to good reviews and that some people will just never be happy. I was completely wrong. When we checked into our room air con was leaking and I mean pouring. The staff were rude, everything was too much hassle and we got fed up of dirty looks from the hotel manager as she walked around the hotel. The food was absolutely terrible which is questionable considering people push and shove to get to the front of the queue which the hotel don’t stop - went all inclusive and chose to eat out every lunch and night. The beds are like sleeping on concrete. I’ve never been on a holiday where I was actually looking forward to going home. You also have to pay £40 for wifi for 7 days but it’s not actually 7 days, you have to return it earlier so technically you get it for 5 days. Bed sheets weren’t changed daily, beds were just made over sometimes dirty sheets as well as no clean towels for the duration of our stay. Absolutely not a 4* hotel by any means.

Please avoid this place. The room was dirty, smelled foul and the fridge was broken so the likely culprit, air-con didn’t work, the lights flickered constantly and the balcony was covered in rusty metal and hornets everywhere. Reported to staff who done next to nothing, asked to have the fridge removed and instead they sent in a cleaner to spray the place with room spray.

Most of the people are the bar and pool were so drunk they could barely stand, not surprising as I think you’d need to be to stay in those rooms.

The food was cold and inedible, staff taking out frozen slabs of mystery meat to cook in front of you.

It was such a horrible experience we managed to scrap enough money to find a new hotel on the 2nd day and received a refund through our holiday provider onthebeach.

Avoid!! Wish I’d read the more recent reviews before leaving home.

Where do I begin, this is the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced. Upon my arrival the porter asked if I needed help to get to my room, when I said yes he pointed me in the direction of the lift. My room was on the 4th floor and one side of the ceiling was sloped so I kept banging my head! The room was extremely dirty and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. All the fixtures were covered in grime and the toilet bowl was black inside. There were water marks and scum all over the bathroom. The floor was gritty.
You have to pay extra for the safe box in the room, which isn’t made clear at the onset. I mentioned all this to the staff who basically said that as the hotel was full, I had to tolerate it!!!!!! Staff were rude and unhelpful.
I went all inclusive but ended up eating out daily. The meals were disgusting; food was raw, flies all over the salad bowls, brine that beetroot was sat it was frothy, food wasn’t fresh, poor choice of mains and deserts, hair in the bread basket (only 1 choice of bread) dirty cutlery and limited choice of drinks.
The outside dining area (floor) was littered with dead cockroaches.
The soft and hot drinks machines were covered up during the day and the bar was the only place to get drinks. The bartender was rude and inconvenienced when asked to do his job. BEWARE, local spirits are inclusive but exported ones are chargeable. I wasn’t told until I asked for a mojito and was then asked to pay.
I was left without towels for 1.5 days.
WiFi did not work at all and only did so when I was connected to their office network, which only worked at reception. So no wifi in my room of the communal areas. REALLY POOR.
The water stopped flowing between 6.30pm - 8.00pm!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh did I mention ants in my room?!??!?!!!!!

I repeatedly asked for toiletries but never received any. They were only available on the day I arrived.
The tv in my room didn’t work at all. In fact a socket came away from the wall as I attempted to remove my adaptor.

The toilets by the dining room operate on sensors but didn’t work properly as I often found myself in the dark,

The air conditioning unit was incredibly noisy and couldn’t be adjusted.

I reported my concerns to the manager but no steps were taken to rectify any of the issues raised.

There was nothing positive about this hotel and I was very disappointed with the whole experience. Please avoid this hotel. It was disgusting. If this was an establishment in the U.K, it wouldn’t been shut down due to health and safety issues.

When we first arrived they claimed they didn’t have any room for us, we had to sit and wait for half an hour while they sorted a room for us at 2 in the morning. Once arriving at the room, it wasn’t too bad, it was just a basic room. However the whole week it got “cleaned” once- when I say cleaned they folded the dirty towel and put them back in the bathroom.
The floors were absolutely filthy to the point that if you walked without shoes on, your feet were black.
The staff were rude to the point where you would feel uncomfortable, kissing their teeth at you when walking past. Stood in groups laughing & slagging you off.
The staff behind the bar were the same, when ordering a couple of drinks they would question why you needed multiple drinks (even when you were in a group). The food was the same everyday, being reheated if it wasn’t eaten at lunch to give again at dinner, no variety & if you’re vegetarian all they have to offer is salad. We had to eat out every day due to the food being that bad.
They claim they have free wifi, however it didn’t work the whole time we were there, instead they made you pay another £70.
The pool& surrounding area was never properly cleaned, there were used tissue& plasters left on the side.
The public toilets absolutely stank, to the point you had to hold your breath when going in. They were dark& dirty. Again, these toilets were not cleaned once while we were there.
Considering it was all inclusive it was the worst place we have ever been.

Worst hotel experience we have ever had in Turkey and we usually love Turkey. Terrible food, its not cooked fresh , no labels so you have no idea what your eating and the chefs can't even tell you what they are cooking. The room they provided for 3 of us was tiny, had to leave the suitcases on the balcony. Air conditioning in the room didn't work, went down to speak to reception who called me a lier and told me I wasn't using it correctly. When I asked him to show me he decided he couldn't speak English only Russion. Finally got a room change, second room was nice with alot more space and working Air conditioning but the lock on the door wouldn't stop going off at stupid o'clock in the morning, had to record the sound for them to believe me but did nothing about it. The pool was dirty, no rubbish was picked up from the day before. Staff stand and laught at you while you are at the pool, so unhelpful. WiFi is terrible, none existent and the details they provide at reception aren't even correct. Lack of drinks and entertainment and spa facilities as advertised. Bar closes at 10.30, they turn all the lights out on you so you can't sit and chill out at night time. I could go on!!! Just avoid, much nicer hotels in the area.

Avoid at all cost !!!!!!

I have never wrote a review for any hotel but I feel people should be aware of how this hotel is run.
Every day we have had to ask for clean towels for the room and toilet roll.
Have requested 5 times for clean bed linen as the beds haven’t been changed and room hasn’t been cleaned at all !!. We’re on day 5 of a week’s holiday.
All the receptionist says is that they have told the cleaners and they basically aren’t doing their job. They take
No responsibility for how the hotel
Is run and tell you no manager is available and if we want a clean room we basically need to move hotel. Hotel rep tells us we have to call England at our expense to get the bed linen sorted !!
Food is disgusting and most guests I have spoken to have had to eat out ( same as ourselves). So beware, and don’t spend your hard earned money on this hotel.
Glasses are left to pile up on the stairs on the landing which is an accident waiting to happen !
I can honestly say it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and we have been visiting Marmaris for over 26 years.

Hi no its not bad, its clean and the staff are very accommodating, its a bit dated and the food can be quite samey, but there is plenty to choose from. I went on my own and had no kids, it was getting very busy when I was leaving (May), queues, crowds, noise and general people complaining, but my first few days were lovely and quiet. its very central and so close to the beach and shops and walking distance to everywhere. I got a really good deal but I was happy as I got such a good deal...get what you pay for I guess
