My room at Safran was very clean, comfortable and lovely, with a spectacular view overlooking the city. Staff were friendly and helpful, although not all speak English. With no lift and a breakfast room on the basement level, this hotel is not appropriate for a guest with mobility issues, but was fine for me. It is a vertical hike from... More

We came by ferry from Istanbul to Mudanya. We then got a taxi to the hotel (around 70 TL and 25 minutes). The hotel is well located and within walking distance of many of the historical attractions. We were in room 6. This was at the front corner of the property and was bright (there were 6 windows) and airy.... More

Safran Hotel is very friendly and helpful and a short walk away from the Great Mosque, the Koza Han and the Orhan Kulloye, all extraordinary examples of 14th/15th century architecture. The hotel is situated under the citadel and may not be the quietest spot in town but it is at the hub of what Bursa is all about. It is... More

Clean, well situated (once you find it), quiet but close to a bus route, up the hill from the middle of town. Limited supply of restaurants nearby. I think the hotel is going down from its original standard: the Rough Guide describes it as having a restaurant, but when I was there it only served breakfast. I think the staff... More

This is a small hotel about 500m to the Great Mosque and bazaar. All major sides are within easy walking distance. Taxis are about 40 m away. Very comfortable and clean room plus helpful staff. Free parking next to the hotel. Good breakfast. The only drawback is that staff barely speak English, but enough to get basic information.

We spent a pleasant and restful night in the Safran Otel. The location is great, in short distance to the historical buildings but also close the city. Staff was friendly and spoke good English and made you feel at home right from the start. Parking was available right in front of the hotel. The Turkish breakfast was fresh and plentiful... More

When first arrived the hotel seemed closed. Thirty minutes later we come back and after knocking on the door they open it. The room was ok but 150TL off-season was a bit high. Breakfast was fine. Best to do in Bursa was the hammam (Kaplıcalar) which was great on the mens side (women side seems not so nice).

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in and would not hesitate to recommend or come back to. The rooms were decorated in Ottoman style and were clean, comfortable and room was spacious. Great hotel very centrally located. The rooms were pleasant and clean. The surrounding area had parks mosques and tombs and well worth exploring the old streets, houses and small shops.
