The views from the hotel are spectacular with the Meander Valley spread out below you as you look over Sultanhisar. The views make up for most of the shortcomings. There is signposting from Sultanhisar and it is only a short drive on hillside roads to the ancient city of Nysa. There is lots of car parking. It is a steep climb up from the bus stops in town and many folk would need to use a taxi. The hotel is dated with evidence of much use in the furniture, a light which did not work and a toilet seat which fell down. The room was an OK size with clean bathroom. Rooms have a view over the pool to the Meander valley below or to the garden. During Covid times you need to provide your own towels but clean bedding is provided. Tea, coffee, kettle and water are provided. There was a mini bar but no price list. No information about restaurants times etc. The staff were helpful but it seemed a bit functional. The onsite restaurant has inside and outside dining, both having the views. The internet did not work. Staff members tried, but failed, to connect me, even in reception. The pool is large and the area clean. There are walks out the back of the hotel into olive groves that give views of the lower part of the valley where the ruins of Nysa are sited. The first view point gives great views but is used as a bin store. There are no way marked walks. Dinner and alcoholic drinks are available in the evening and prices are OK. Breakfast was buffet style which surprised me in these Covid times. Also some staff did not always wear masks. Sanitiser was readily available. The situation and structure of Nysa Hotel is great but attention to detail lets it down.…
Not the best welcome. Passports, here’s your key, follow that man. No attempt to explain anything, breakfast, pool, which of the restaurants might be open etc. And that continued a theme. Whether it was a lack of guests due to Coronavirus or what I don't know but there was a general atmosphere of a lack of the care and friendliness we found with all our other Turkish hotels evidenced by the nice pool being cloudy. In Coronavirus times, a lack of pool care is unforgiveable. Food average for dinner. Breakfast really small and cheap. Ok for an overnight stop on ancient sites day but most unlike other places so I wouldn't recommend despite the room being very good, a nice size and clean.
Clean ? Don’t ask ! Everything is old and dirt ! Staff not so friendly , too much relaxation for them ! Restaurant OK different approach from staff side ! Let remain positive : sunrise view... wow . The single moment of pleasure during accomodation.
While I was visiting Nazilli for a project meeting it has been proposed to stay at Nysa hotel. Surely it is a very clean hotel, with spacious rooms based in a hill with nice view and nature. Recommend for a small stay!
The hotel is on a hill top overlooking the town of Sultanhisar with panoramic views from the terrace. it is well placed to visit the Roman sites of Nysa and Aphrodisia. Our room was well equipped and clean and the food, both breakfast and dinner, was quite good The staff were friendly and attentive.
