It was good experience to stay in historical place. We spent one night over there. The environment and the room were good. But the towel and some of things in the room were shabby they need to take care of them. In addition we took the breakfast as a hotel guest which was too weak compared to one which they service for restaurant guest. They have to improve note quest breakfast as well.

This place has lots of local food. Restorated and kept as old ottoman style. The building is from 18th century. Aydin municipality is running after the restaurant and hotel. So it is tidy, clean and peaceful. Regarding to other places it is also cheap. I recommend cokertme and guvec ( local food made of steak) As a part of the hotel there are some antique shops and souvenir things that you may be interested, which are run by severl local guys.

We booked the hotel from booking.com. But when we arrived the recepsionist told us their contract is over with booking.com and we had no reservation. But strangly we were able to book from the web site. Although we have no reservation The receptionist said they have one available room and ask for our ID cards. We got married a few months ago therefore I have not yet changed my Family name in my ID card. The recepsionist said he cannot accept us because we were not married!!!. Although we did not understand why we have to be married to stay together in a hotel, still we tried to explain him our situation but We could not make him belive that we are married and we left the hotel. We went to Efeler hotel they were really very kind and helpfull. I strogly reccomend Efeler hotel.

A lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very thoughtful renovation of an old dilapidated caravansary. The bathrooms although new, are to be upgraded as although they look wonderful, the electric shower was a problem and the shower leaked. The towel ring fell off the wall and the electric cable conduit for the shower had been stuck to the wall and was now coming unstuck. There was some lovely Tulum cheese for breakfast. But why toast? We have lived in Turkey and travelled in Turkey for over 30 years. Every hotel and pansyon breakfast used to have lovely fresh bread straight from the bakery. But in this trip every hotel we stayed in provided toast for breakfast. Why? At least give guests a choice between fresh bread and toast. We stayed on a Monday night and on Tuesday morning there was a fantastic fruit and vegetable market just next to the hotel. I don't know if it's there any other day of the week. Despite the bathroom, I would highly recommend staying there.

What a lovely place! Build in an old caravanserai it offers true Ottoman experience. Enjoying a Turkish breakfast in the the ancient arched courtyard has something magical and out of time. Lazy afternoon teas (with delicious pastries you have to try) to the sound of very tasteful and relaxing traditional music is a haven of peace in this busy Turkish city. The bedroom, repurposed cells, are simple yet very comfortable. Staff is very helpful and smiling. If it wasn't for our Turkish friend who booked the hotel for us we probably wouldn't have found this amazing place and it would have been a real miss. I do highly recommend if you're looking for a truly unique Turkish experience far from the aseptic corporate aesthetics of your usual chain hotel. Oh! Just a word on their restaurant! Absolutely gorgeous Turkish food is served there for lunch and dinner, fresh, tasty, simply delicious!
