Came here a few years ago as it was recommended by my parents and for the price we got it at the hotel was absolutely stunning. I had been to Turkey twice before but neither of the hotels compare to this one. This hotel is most definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I mean what more could you ask for, you've got the beach on your doorstep so you don't need to travel far to get there. The beach on site also has watersports which makes it even better. The hotel has it's own fair for the kids which is free to use. There are a few little shops inside the hotel including; gift shop, clothes shop, bags + shoes and a tattoo parlour. If you want to go shopping there is a shopping mall across the road from the hotel which is quite big. If you want to go to the market you just need to take a 5/10 min walk to get a shuttle to Manavgat. There is a 24hour bar in the hotel and right next to it they have like a night club room that's open till 3am. Next to the 24hour bar there is also a games room/arcade and the A La Carte restaurants are also near the 24hour bar. One night while we were there we tried the Mexican A La Carte restaurant and the food and staff were amazing. The A La Carte restaurants were only 10euro each which isn't bad for what you get. I know it's an all inclusive hotel but if you fancy a change of food, I would highly recommend going to one of the A La Carte restaurants. The food in the main restaurant was also amazing and if you're a fussy eater like me then you'll definitely find something to eat. In the mornings they had a smoothie bar which the smoothies were delicious. Throughout the day there are snack bars that have; jacket potatoes, fried chicken, kebabs, pizza etc... The beach bar also do food which you can order as much as you like off the menu and they'll bring it to your table. Our hotel room was big and had plenty of space for us to use. The bathroom was also bigger than expected. The room was nice, tidy and clean and so was the bathroom. The room was beautiful and so was the view from our balcony. Our room had a mini bar which had; bottled water, 7up, tango, iced tea and Efes beer. This was refilled every day. Our room was cleaned every day and we received fresh towels every day aswell which was brilliant. The staff at the hotel was nice and friendly and they always remembered what I was drinking. The entertainment team was great and always spoke to us and always try to get you involved. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely be coming back in the future!!

We booked 3 nights at Royal Taj Mahal and 4 at Alhambra. Currently on our 3rd day at Taj Mahal. Food is decent, you are served with whatever you want by someone. No import drinks, even on request - during our stay we only saw a few redbull and Salitos kept under key in one of the night bars - so not really ultra all inclusive standards.
We were unable to make a reservation at one of the 4 a la carte restaurants, because on Friday there was no one all day at the reservation area (we asked at reception and they said to come the next day- we did and they told us we need to book at least one day in advance). We couldn't since we are leaving tomorrow. There was a 10 euros per person fee for those restaurants.
Horrible view from our window, you can never let light into the room without having to say hi to your neighbours across.
The shower was a mess, dropping water in all directions, we fixed it ourselves.
Hope the experience at Alhambra will be better.

We returned for rhe 2nd time in 3 years to Royal Taj Mahal. We enjoyed the first time stay, we liked the premises (everything within close proximity), lunapark was a plus for the kids, sandy beach, plenty of separate pools, kids mino club, different food corners etc etc. Three years ago the hotel was part of Stone Group and now they have established their own Royal Group Hotels. With this I must say thaf the service has become remarkably spotless. The staff of all services is extra polite, friendly, helpful. You really feel at home away from home. You have plenty of activites to keep you busy 24/7. Should you need a hair dresser/barber there is one in the hotel with reasanable prices and good services. The ancient town of Side is worth visiting- taxi or mini van are an option (check with the reception), then if you want to buy somethings of renowned brands go to Nova Mall which is 20 min ride from the hotel. Taxi was 14 euro/one direction. I was 2 times in this hotel and have been recommending it to all my friends and familiies and would gladly come back again! There was one thing though I was not happy with- we had a late night flight but had to check out at 12 noon, they did not offer to us the possibility of late check out even though we were ready to pay extra with the justifiction that they were fully booked in late May, which of course is not the case for a 5* hotel with many rooms and it is a bit strange that the entire hotel does not have some reserve rooms for such occasions!!!! And you just do not refuse this service to your second time visitors!

I come to Turkey every single year on holiday with my family and this hotel is by far the worst hotel we have stayed at.

Firstly, Customer Service: The staff here are literally so rude and unwilling to help you at all. They will avoid making eye contact with you so they don't need to help, they will respond back to you in a rude way when you do finally get a chance to ask for help, and sometimes they even say they can't help you when they actually can.

Secondly, WIFI: If you need to stay in contact with people, or do a bit of work online then unfortunately you won't have a chance to at all. There is literally no WIFI in this hotel... maybe you'll be lucky to get it for 2-5 minutes here and there but that's about it. And when you complain about it, they say the same thing that they say to every one else: "yeah too many people are connected to it, that's why it doesn't work, there's nothing we can do". Like I said I come to Turkey every year and i've also stayed in hotels which are triple the size of this one with better WIFI so clearly they just don't want to do anything about it.

Finally, Food: Food is a massive factor for me when it comes to these hotels and this one has literally the exact same food every single day. They also say they have a few other restaurants, NO they don't. They have one main restaurant serving the same food every single day and they have a small patisserie restaurant for night time food and that's about it. Not only that, the food isn't even that great compared to other hotels and when you're having the same thing every day, you get sick and tired of it.

In conclusion, Avoid this hotel at all costs. From my own experience i can 100% tell you that you can get much better hotels for the same price so trust me look around, don't book this one!

I spent 10 days with my family at the Royal TajMahal in April. The location of the hotel is very convenient, close to the shops of the necessities and the pharmacy. We are very pleased with the stay. Delicious food both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. English, Turkish and seaside cuisine was available. The variety of dishes was so large that it was impossible to try everything during a 10-day stay. The service deserves special mention at this hotel. Mrs. Eylem, the hotel manager, is a fantastic woman with a big heart. A real gem of this hotel. She has helped us in many situations requiring knowledge of the city and the availability of goods in Turkey and related to health. Always nice, smiling and friendly. She is also very understanding towards little children. Mrs. Eylem can organize difficult things right away. She helped prepare and organized a romantic sunset dinner with champagne, strawberries and a delicious anniversary cake. Mrs. Eva, responsible for animations for children, is another treasure of this hotel. Mrs. Eva looked after the children during the opening hours of the children's club, and every day after dinner she organized children's singing and dancing parties. She was able to communicate with a child of any age, regardless of language. Everything at the highest level. The service at every step was determined to make our stay successful and we could count on them at every moment. Very clean in the room. Ladies who clean pleasantly, smiling and discreet. It was a great stay. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for families with children. We will definitely come back! Kind regards!!!

Definitely not a five star hotel. We are staying at the hotel for three weeks, this is the first week there are two more left. Although our stay is not over, I need to write something about the hotel where we are staying for the first time.

I start with the negative things.

First. The internet connection in the whole area of the hotel is catastrophically bad.
10 minutes there is internet connection 10 minutes no, everything is so intermittent wherever you are even in the rooms. I have complained about the internet problem three times, no one has solved it so far.
As I write this the internet is gone, horror.

Second. Room cleaning very bad. People who clean forget to put toilet paper. For a five star hotel, cleaning needs to be better.

Third. The hotel is in pretty bad shape even though it opened in 2015. The rooms look like they are 50 years old. The beds are hard uncomfortable to sleep on.

Fourth, the toilets outside the hotel are poorly maintained and clean. The staff working in the bars is very rude.

Now the positive sides of the hotel.

The food is great. There are a variety of foods that you will not get to try everything. The beach is great sandy. Close to the beach 2 minutes walk. There are plenty of pools. The slides are great ,only the work of the slides is limited from 10 to 12 and from 14 to 16. The children's club is great and especially the children's disco in the evening. The hotel is mostly occupied by Germans and Russians. The hotel staff speaks little English.
Overall, the rating for the hotel is bad. Given the high price we paid and the five-star hotel, we expected better service.
I am waiting for the internet connection to appear so that I can send this text.
I would not recommend the hotel to friends.

This is our second stay in Turkey. This time with 3 famillys. Hotel very clean, comfortable, large. The room was clean, upon arrival we were given a room even though it was 10:00 a.m. and the hotel check-in time starts at 2:00 p.m. we received a room of a higher standard than we ordered. The food was very varied and delicious, the entire staff tried very hard to provide the highest level of service - waiters, bartenders and cleaning ladies. The group of animators encouraged both children and adults to have fun, greetings to Jacob :). The beach is wide, clean, the sea temperature in winter is the same as in Poland in summer :). only one smal minus- a little bit cold water in inside pool.
We recommend it to everyone, especially families with children.

Not what we expected. Breakfast had no sausages, beans, bacon or anything of the sort; with it being a five star hotel we were hoping there’d be more of a selection for us brits who can’t go without a full English 😂. Sadly lunch and evening meal in the main restaurant wasn’t much better we pretty much survived off the pizza which was really nice and potato wedges for our stay. The beach bar being the only change in meal during the day. The desserts were amazing just a shame the rest of the food lets it down otherwise this place is perfect.

Lunch at the beach bar was fabulous! However, we were never handed any cutlery straight away unlike others were. Staff were good however some did turn their nose up as us. Not sure why we were always polite and thankful.

Drinks were good dependant on which bar you go to. The iced coffees were stunning! All facilities were great including the water park but if you’re wanting a sun bed be prepared to get up early to reserve as there were non by 8am at the main pool.

The hotel staff were great but there’s a big problem with language but that’s to be expected with going abroad although we’d have hoped the receptionists could’ve understood a little English as this would’ve made checking in a thousand times easier. Another problem was we were never told to print out our confirmation email and with having never done this at any other hotel before we thought this was a-bit strange.

We ended up at this hotel due to Tui asking us to change our hotel from the royal seginus 3 days before flying and this one was suited more to us from the options which paid off.

Hotel And Staff - The hotel is beautiful, Rooms are lovely and very spacious, plenty of storage, we had a sea and pool view which was a bonus. Staff are outstanding can't do enough for you and very pleasant.

Pools - There are multiple pools in the hotel and all the same depth, pools were never overly busy and we always got a sunbed and you get staff coming round asking you to take part in activities but if you don't want too they wont pester you. The pools are very clean, The pool/foam party was excellent also.

Restaurants - The restaurants are very clean and spacious, we arrived really late but they have one open from 11pm until early morning which was a bonus. We always found a seat in the main restaurant and staff were always friendly, the only issue we had was with some of the food, it was very repetitive and unless you like fish it can be very fish based, my husband also found most of his meat pink on some occasions which did put him off.

Entertainment - The entertainment is great, we loved the majority of the shows, they always have a kids disco before hand, my 8 year old didn't take part as she thinks shes too old for it lol, the white beach party each week was amazing and they done a fantastic job.

Rooms - Very clean and tidy and have everything you need such as body washes, shampoo, conditioner, even slippers.

Overall we loved our experience here.

We spent a week here with a one and a three year old.

Positive:
The beach and the sea was very nice
Our orom was spacy, clean and nice
Staff was overall nice

Negative:
Food - we found it below average, wide variety but not good quality at all

Reason for the bad rating is the customer service - terrible, really far from 5 stars, let me give yoz details.

First point: I had to wait until this holiday to be kicked out of a gym at 12:30 as it was closing then and reopening at 15;30. I asked the customer service manager if it would be possible to do any indoor sport (40 celsius outside). His answer was that I should do sports outside and it is like this, this is the system. He told this to me in a really rude way; he also said that this is a family hotel - if it was then there would be a possibility to do indoor sports in this time frame;

Second: we left some of our staff by the pool and went to the beach with the kids. When we came back at 7 pm, all our things were gone. We tried to ask the pool staff where it was but as they don’t speak english we went to the reception and asked for help. If you read some of the comments below you will see the opinions about them: basically zero help, “come back tomorrow”, “ I don’ t know”.
We went back in the morning and same story, by that time we figured out that our little one’s swim suits and UV shirt were also gone ( we didn’t write down what we left there so realised only later what was missing). They directed us to the customer service manager, who was arrogant and at one point he said that “customer service is finished for you”. We never got our things back except for our UV shirt.

This is far from a 5 star service that we are used to, we have been to many places but will never return here as very poor value for what we paid.
