Have stayed in this Hotel a couple of times previously. We didn’t expect everything to be open due to Covid, but I believe some things are inexcusable. There was a very limited choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner, maybe to be expected. But most of the time the cooked food was cold with no heating under the trays. Stale bread. It only cost pennies for a loaf of bread in Turkey. Stale cake & biscuits, which had gone soft, and the same fruit presented day after day, which I would have thrown out days before. The alcohol drinks were more limited than on previous occasions, certainly not ultra all inclusive as advertised. The plus points are most of the very hard working staff. Aydin, who was working in the lobby bar, deserves a special mention for his tireless work and attitude. As stated before I have stayed here a couple of times previously, but I don’t think I will be coming back again.

Stayed at Villa Side for two nights. There are many positive point but also some points to consider which I have summarised below: Positive: 1) Food - good variety in terms of choice and food was generally well cooked and fresh. The waiters and chefs were amazing, all of them were very professional and very welcoming. 2) Entertainment - good choice of activities for both adults and kids. Though guests and hotel management should do more to space people out during these sessions due to Covid-19. 3) All inclusive - good variety of drinks and snacks to pick up by the pool and the beach. Staff here were generally very nice. 4) Pool - water pool for kids was good and all pools were kept very clean. Slides added joy to the trip and lifeguards were always on the lookout. Negatives: 1) Run down - the hotel rooms and furniture feel run down and could do with an upgrade. There were stains on bedsheets and carpets which you don't expect to see in a five star hotel. 2) Room view - the hotel looks very nice on pictures however this can be misleading. The view from our view was a graveyard which isn't what you are looking for on a holiday. 3) Wi-fi - patchy connection but good speed when connected. Something to consider if internet is important to you. Would I recommend? If the price is reasonable the above points dont bother you too much - go for it!

We slept one night on our way. The food was good. The stuff was very nice but the feeling was average. The hotel is not next to the sea as well. For the price, it is ok. I am not sure if I would stay again.

My mother, three friends and I stayed at the Villa Side Residence at the end of February 2020. It my mother’s and my second visit and our friends joined us on the strength or our recommendation - always very risky! Thankfully, the hotel was as superb as on our previous visit. Particular highlights are 1) the superb beach bar open throughout the winter, weather permitting, with full kitchen and bar staff, table service etc., 2) the choice of two main bars off either side off the lobby, around the same size but essentially one is the ‘main venue’ for animation and other shows in the winter, while the other is the ‘quiet bar’ for those who want to escape the entertainment and 3) the absolutely top-class food -the best of any hotel I have experienced (in 78 visits to Antalya hotels alone). We were both lucky with the weather - almost everyday was sunbathing weather - and to have had our holiday and got back to the UK before all the Covid-19 travel restrictions started. Now we are stuck in our houses in the UK, we have extremely fond memories of our time at the Villa Side Residence. As a slight indicator of the quality of this hotel, there are proper cloth napkins at lunch as well as dinner and hollow-handled knives - very expensive and which I have never encountered at any other hotel in 45 years of travelling. The lifts talk in English and Turkish so this is a means of picking up a few words :-) Even the background ‘musak’ is superb - some of my favourite music of all time. It must have been well-curated. The guest relations manager, Hanife, is lovely and very helpful. All the staff I encountered are special individuals who go beyond the call of duty. I will give special mention to Sadik Bey, who was usually at the beach bar and not just remembered me but also my drink of choice, red wine, from an entire year previously and had it poured before I got to the bar! Talk about reputations preceding one…. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. For UK guests in particular I can say there are several channels on the TV in English, including BBC World News, a kettle with tea & coffee (collect milk at breakfast & bring your own Yorkshire tea bags) and bathrobes and slippers supplied as standard. There is even Efes beer in the minibar so if you can’t be bothered to walk to the 24 bar you are catered for. I am happy to answer any questions - please PM me. We are looking forward to our return to the Villa Side Residence in January 2021, Insallah! Tim. We have just returned from a 3 week stay at this hotel, on an AI basis, and can honestly say it’s one of the best Turkish hotels we’ve experienced ... and that’s 17 so far. From the moment of arrival the entire staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. As Brits (from Scotland) we were indeed a minority as most guests were from Germany, so you get used to being addressed in German by default! No bother, though, as all guests were respectful of each other. I did chuckle, though, when an entertainment group included, as part of its musical medley, Colonel Bogey and the Dambusters’ march. Quite unintentional though, I’m sure, and nobody seemed to notice or mind. Room quality was fine, although we did detect stale cigarette smoke in a corridor and our first room. We moved to another room after consulting the very helpful guest relations manager. The food here is incredible. The variety and quality is exemplary and you’re in danger of overdoing it! The domestic services are also extremely competent ... in fact I could go on and on about how very well run this hotel is. I will conclude by saying that it would be a very picky person who found any serious fault with this hotel. We would return for another stay without hesitation.
