Detailed Reviews
Let’s. Not mess about Side is not a resort for British. The full resort is geared towards German,Dutch,Turkish. We Arrived at the Narcia hotel late evening, they was very efficient with check in and directed us to the restaurant so we could get a evening meal. Unfortunately food options was not great. Especially for our little girl so we decided to go and eat out that night.
The next day we found our bearings around the hotel but soon realised that English tourists where few and far between it was like a zombie apocalypse nothing was geared towards English tourists at all ie. food, music and the entertainment team, unfortunately all we seemed to find was people with very little manners. And basically rude attitudes.
The hotel in fairness was clean and the staff where friendly even though they assumed you was German, the was plenty of food options available through out the day but nothing really enticing for children, that maybe you would expect on a all inclusive holiday. Drinks where ok,the lobby bar was the place to drink as it served branded drinks and it’s staff where very efficient and friendly.
Would we stay here again no. Would I recommend to anyone maybe if they was just adults and no children.
So good points
Cleanliness
Location
Beach bar
Beach
Pool
Lobby bar drinks
Bad points
Food not really fit for British children
Drinks very sweet around outdoor bars
Sun loungers as rare as rocking horse pop maybe something to do with it being mostly German. Turkish and Dutch clients you’d need be up around 5 am just to secure one
Music adult orientated with lots of swearing around main pool not really ideal with young children.
Lack of bar staff you’d spend more time waiting for a drink than drinking it. And that’s if someone didn’t push in.
Outside the hotel the are plenty of shops mainly clothing ones the are not many restaurants or drinking bars and what the are most are of Turkish cuisine unfortunately, so if you want something resembling home cooked you’d be better off looking for a Chinese or Indian Restraunt because you’ll not find a English or Irish bar unless you settle for a Mc Donald’s or Burger King
All in all if your British family with young children don’t even stay in Side but if you do avoid the Narcia you’d most probably be ok if your ok with a lot of international cuisine but I won’t be returning to Side again for these reasons I hope this review has helped I will try anywhere but I found it more hard work, more so than Egypt or Morrocco and I’ve stayed in many other countries but this was the worst

We stayed here for two weeks at the end of July. We usually try and go to Mexico but have done all inclusives in Turkey before so I was aware it would be a different standard when we booked. Overall it was a nice looking hotel with a good amount of entertainment for the kids. That said there were some niggles that became issues for me so I’ll start with those and finish with the positives.
The hotel was very busy and is designed in quite a small space, this meant that getting sun beds at the entertainment pool requires a very early start, meal times are chaotic with ques everywhere and they didn’t seem to have enough staff on to cope with things. The pool areas are jammed with sun beds so you have to walk around the pool on the very edge, we actually saw a fight break out when one guest stole another’s bed, but this was not the hotels fault and dealt with well by the staff. People tend to sit at the tables in the restaurant for dinner about 30 mins before the buffet is due to open, which again is an annoyance as if you don’t do the same you end up struggling for a seat. Like most hotels in Turkey I’ve visited, the food caters to a German palate (think lots of meats in sauces) but the salad bar was amazing and we found a wonderful local restaurant which we ate out at often so this wasn’t a huge issue for us. I would have liked kid’s options on the buffet though, it’s tough getting a 3 year old to eat things they’re unfamiliar with and again, this became annoying fairly quickly.
We had choosen a room in the annex as that suited our budget, if you do the same be aware it will sound like you are sleeping next to the speakers for the animation if you try for an early night! All music done by 11 so we quickly learned to try and get the little one to nap in the day and keep him up late:
Positives:
Beach area is lovely and the food is better at the beach restaurant.
Staff are friendly and the lobby bar especially has good quality drinks and decent service. Hotel is well located and has good amenities, especially for children. We used the gym but as it has no air conditioning it’s tough to use if your anything but a weight lifter. Can’t comment on the alacarte as we couldn’t get a table with the nights we had available. As long as your happy to eat out a few nights and crowded spaces don’t bother you this is a decent choice for a budget break.

+1
We were from 4 - 11 August in Narcia Resort four persons. The food was good , almost the same everyday , at breakfast , lunch and dinner. The room was clean everyday and the beach was aproximately 300- 350 m far from the Hotel. The only thing that was WEIRD to me was that if we needed the safe box we needed to pay extra charge of 1,5 € / day! How is that possible in a 5* Resort and Ultra All inclusive?

The hotel is overrated, more of a 4 star than what you would expect in a 5 star hotel. The facilities for kids are good and food quality is good however getting food is a nightmare. The hotel is very, very busy and the restaurant is like a wresting match in a jungle.
The hotel is aimed for German and Turkish guests, asking for things in English is a huge challenge, and the hotel culture is very alien to us. Every sunbed has a towel on it by 7am even though 50% sit empty all day. Queuing seems to be optional everywhere and being barged and pushed (even your kids) is an everyday day experience. Pram access is often blocked especially around the pool and in the restaurant.
There was no iron in the room and this was not available upon request.
The staff varied from amazingly friendly (especially in the lobby bar and at the bar for evening entertainment) to very rude. Unfortunately rude staff are more common.
The location is good, although the beach is a 10 minute walk, there is however a shuttle bus provided for free. The beach is quieter than the hotel.
There is a mini waterpark but the access to this is down a steep slope that becomes very wet and feels like taking your life in your hands.
Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone who's English speaking.
The area is beautiful especially the ruins at the old town. A cheap hotel that ended up costing me a fortune because we kept eating out as we couldn't face going into the restaurant!

This is not 5* hotel and not ultra all inclusive.
Food is good, but not inaff fish and seafood.
Staff is kind and polity, but they don't speak English.
Rooms are old, not very clean, bed sheets haven't been change for a week that we've been there.
Pool and restaurant are small for this size of hotel, it's very crowded in restaurant and you have to wait for every meal.
Sunbeds are all taken at 7 o'clock AM. You can't find free chair for evening program. Also 4 elevetaros for this hotel size is not inaff.
Better organization needed.
Feels like you have to run and wait for everything.
Mini disco is 20 minutes. Carousels for childer are closed 5 minutes earlier.
Offer of drinks is very poor, only one kind of white wine was offered.
All boxes in bathroom (shower cap...etc) were empty.
I am not delighted at all.

really great hotel for family's with young children, lots to keep them entertained. food was a large variety of different things. the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the beach where all inclusive food and drinks were still supplied due to being all inclusive at the Narcia resorts hotel. entertainment around the pool everyday, ranging from foam parties, dress up Disney characters, live parrots etc. maid service is also fantastic, rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels often. there is a bar right across the street from the hotel named "relax" which offered amazing food, drinks, entertainment and staff were incredible. amazing value for money.

THE worst 5* hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Hotel isn’t particularly nice or has a wow factor. A lot of the images on advertisement is mis-leading. For example the water slides; there’s only one tiny slide and another for kids. I’ve stayed in 5* resorts all over the world and 4 different continents but nothing as bad as this. Stayed at a 3* in Singapore once I got stuck there and even that was much better than this Narcia hotel. Staff aren’t friendly at all, not a single one looks at you let alone greeting! Only one or 2 person speaks a few words of English in reception but no one else, the chefs, waiters housekeepers etc. I normally don’t write reviews but I felt like I had to warn others who might be considering this place. I decided to cut my 5 night stay after 3 as I was so disappointed. Food is very basic and almost same every day/time. Not a lot of choices. My advice is, pay a little more and go to different hotel or cancel entirely rather than coming here. 2* at most.

Please be advised that this hotel is not good for English holidaymakers.
Many of the staff do not speak English and the English that they do speak is very broken and hard to understand.
The food is very much catered for Germans and Russians and there is no English cooked breakfast at the morning breakfast buffet.
The actual hotel is nice with nice swimming pools and slides.
The snacks bars, ice cream bar and other eating places during the day are OK but the breakfast and evening meals were a disappointment and we found ourselves eating out in Side.
The rooms were clean but do not expect the cleaners to go the extra mile as they do the bare minimum.
If you are an English holidaymaker then please do some extra research to make sure that it is suitable.

The entertainment team were great, especially Zac and Ronaldo, they made our time so fun! The shows were good. We liked the dinner at Turquoise, the Turkish restaurant really enjoyed the little quieter pool. The aircon around the hotel could be improved .

Better then nothing, not so big nor so small, you can enjoy with partner+family. What is good? Food 95%, rooms and swimming pool hot and cold 99%. I really enjoyed my 1 week. The only problem is transport which should be 35 euro but they cost 60 to 70. Make it yourself B4......
