I just came back from a holiday there with my family and it was a great experience. The rooms are great! The beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable but it’s not that big of a deal. The food and service was great too! They cant speak English that well so its very hard to communicate if you cant speak Turkish or German. The location of the hotel is Perfect, just a small walk and you’re at the beach, and there are some pools out there, but there is almost to no place of putting your stuff on a bench because they are always taken by other people. But it was just a great holiday, I recommend it!!!

Top hotel with superb services, entertainment during the day with activities and in the evening often shows offered by the entertainers who are super nice and involved. The staff at the service or reception level are also very welcoming and kind. Clean rooms and the hotel is very family-friendly!

The food is absolutely top notch and varied. Really tasty, and there are various theme nights.
The staff - from the cleaning lady to the waiters and the receptionist - are ALL very helpful and extremely friendly.
The animation team is also nice, but not pushy. Olga deserves special mention, as she runs really great water gym sessions that young and old love.
There is a varied program that suits every age group.

Great hotel! We have stayed here several times and are very satisfied every time. The location directly on the beach is great, the rooms are beautifully renovated and spacious, the whole hotel is in a well-kept condition. The staff is friendly and quick. The food is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired.

With the whole family (8 people) in the Grand Side. Very clean.. but a bit worn in the interior. Very friendly and attentive staff. Full board with excellent buffets, morning, noon, evening! Please don't make a reservation at the restaurant... it's not worth it.

Visit Hotel Grand Side for a one week holiday. The hotel is excellent and so the staff. Very serviceminded. Food is very very good and so the shops, sauna and entertainment. Very good beach. If you want a trip to old Side you can find the small busses very close to the hotel.
The hotel is surronded by a very nice park where you can walk. Close to the beach you have a hotel bar where you can have lunch and more.

I admit, I have never been a big fan of the all-inclusive, super-touristy type resorts, so perhaps it's just not my thing. Our time at the Grand Side had ups and downs. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but also quite pushy. We found ourselves dreading the walk to dinner because the nice but very persistent photographer was always there trying to get us to pay for a cheesy photo shoot in front of the pool at sunset. And he never gave up, no matter how many times we tried to explain that we were not interested.
Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we had to wait over 2 hours. This wasn't a big deal, and I wouldn't normally care except that I was pregnant and exhausted and really wanted to lie down. When we finally got a room, it was clearly one they don't normally use, and they said we would have to move the next day. This room was bizarre. Dark with low ceilings, and although it was on the ground floor facing out towards the beach, the windows had been completely frosted over so very little light got in, and the potentially very nice view was erased from sight. Why they would do this? My husband and I were completely baffled, and had to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. The room we were moved to the next day was much nicer and had real windows that one could actually see through!
Overall the food was fine, generally mediocre with a few quite good things, pretty monotonous. But I think that's to be expected with these all-inclusive buffets.
The beach was beautiful, though we got unlucky with the weather. It was only warm enough to go into the sea once, and the pool (which is small) was absolutely freezing. The water slides were off the whole time we were there. We ended up spending most of our time sitting on the beach (when it wasn't too cold and windy) or in bed reading. So it made for a relaxing but also somewhat boring trip.
We did have a very nice treatment in the Turkish bath/spa, with a body scrub and massage which was really nice.
All of that said, for the price, it's a good deal. The hotel is nice, clean and pretty modern. The staff are friendly, the food is decent enough and it's directly on the beautiful beach. You can walk (about 45 min-1 hour) or take a little local bus into the town of Side. The ancient ruins are well worth the trip, but don't expect an authentic Turkish experience, this town caters to tourists 100%.
