This is my second time at the hotel, (first time being 2016). I am writing this from the sunbed on day 4 of 7. During Covid, I was skeptical about a holiday but I just knew coming back to the Andiz that it would be fine. We got off the coach and had our temperature taken and was offered hand gel. They put our cases to the left and sprayed the outside with disinfectant and left them for an hour outside. I really appreciate the effort they go to ensure that you feel safe as well as them. All staff are wearing face masks and champagne on arrival. My in laws were here already so we had a drink at the bar and checked in. The hotel is spotless, every day you see the team working so hard, everyday cleaning the glass and windows, all the handrails and skirting boards and the rooms are immaculate.

The food, well it’s my favourite part. Where we came before it was buffet style as you have the offering of al a cartes too but now during the current climate you order from a menu which is all available on the app! I loved the humous and couscous purely because it’s sensational, the restaurant manager learnt how much I liked this and went out of his way to bring two plates up for us in the al a carte to go with our starters. You get 5 star service from the second you come to the second you leave.

The drinks they make, the cocktails are flawless every time. A lot of the time on holiday the cocktails are pumped with grenadine and all sorts to make them look vibrant, here they make them with such effort I can say I haven’t had one yet that I don’t like (I’ve tried a fair few).

There is no-one pestering for spas or photography round the pool, they have the ethos that if you want something you will enquire.

I am off to the spa later for a massage so will update the review with that also.

I can not fault this hotel and when I tell you it deserves 6 stars I really mean that. They deserve every bit of success and I can say I will come back when I can for a beautiful week away.

Just arrived back from a week in your lovely hotel , like most people we were very worried about the safety issues with covid but not once did we feel unsafe or at risk. From temp checks to hand sanitizers on all tables to hand sanitizer stations on entry to all restaurants outside of toilets and pool area. All staff wear masks even in the scorching heat , The rooms our immaculately clean and the maid service is brilliant our room was cleaned everyday to a very high standard. The restaurant staff our an absolute asset to the hotel Seipan served us everyday always with a smile and a chat Even when he was rushed off his feet . We found all staff our friendly and attentive without being to in your face . The bar staff come to know you and you never have a empty glass they know what you drink they all work so hard . The temp was around 35-38 most days so we spent a lot of time lazing on our sun beds a much needed rest we had . We ventured out to side One day walking along the promenade Be prepared for a lot of pestering from the shop/ taverna owners I know it’s there way and it’s they’re income but it got so bad we never went in shops we probably would have if they’d just let us browse.
Would we go again oh yes in a heart beat we never wanted to leave .
If your thinking should we shouldn’t we well do it and you really won’t be sorry .
Please thank all your staff for making us feel like part of the barut andiz family and a special Thankyou to seipan .

We've been to Barut hotels before so knew that our long awaited holiday would be okay. Yes, the hotel is small, a short walk to the beach and the pool was half in the shade until early afternoon but the service is the usual barut quality. The shady side of the pool area was perfect for us on a couple of occasions as it was very hot whilst we were there and there was no breeze to make it more bearable.

We booked a junior suite and apparently they are all on the east side of the hotel, above the swim up rooms so the view was not particularly good but the balcony was double the length of the standard rooms. The living area had a sofa and a snuggle chair and was separated from the bedroom area by a large drawer unit and TV. There was a separate toilet, bathroom with whirlpool bath and a rainfall shower with the wash basin etc between the two.

There was sanitiser everywhere, and food was served to you after choosing from a menu. You could look at and choose salad, bread, puddings etc through the now usual screens.

A good small hotel with the added bonus of being adult only.

We were really looking forward to our holiday here, based on the excellent reviews which the hotel didn’t quite live up to.

We were very impressed by how efficient the cleaning regime was; everywhere was spotless and hygienic with plenty of hand sanitisers wherever you went. Despite all the hotel staff having face masks, many of the male members of staff were wearing them incorrectly. Guests did not have to wear face masks but at other Tui hotels in Side, guests were required to wear them in communal areas.

To obtain a sun bed in the sunshine, it meant getting up early, otherwise they were all gone by mid morning. It felt quite busy around the pool despite the sun beds being socially distanced. We also had speakers playing different music simultaneously around the pool which was irritating. On at least two days during our visit we had to wait for the pool towels to arrive from the laundry and one morning they weren’t available until 10.30am.

We found there was an excellent choice of salads, fruit and desserts which were all very fresh. There was also a wide choice of drinks available. We were disappointed by the main hotel restaurant as on a number of occasions our starters and main courses arrived simultaneously at the table which the staff didn’t see as a problem when we pointed it out to them. Some of the meat was a bit chewy too. Avoid the burgers on the lunch menu as they are made from cheap meat.
The Gala night was somewhat lacklustre too, indeed the only thing that differentiated it from any other night was the sparkling wine on arrival. We expected flowers on the table, ice sculptures and fireworks as we have experienced these before on previous stays in Barut hotels in Turkey.
The outdoor a la carte restaurant was far more relaxed and calm. The food was of a superior quality with excellent service from Nurettin. The only downside was the lack of fans as it was very humid.

During our two week stay, the Tui rep didn’t speak to us or acknowledge us once, she just did a quick walk around the pool and disappeared somewhere inside the hotel. We mentioned this to other guests and they also said they had the same experience.
We found the hotel staff very approachable, friendly, chatty and very helpful.

My husband and I have just returned from this hotel for the 1st time.

We spent 7 lovely relaxing days here. Food and drink were really nice (although we would have preferred there to be more turkish options available, that would be my one and only criticism). Food was gorgeous though, especially in the al la carte restaurant were we would both recommend the manti, best thing I ate all week 🤤

Very safe regarding Covid 19, food served from menu with cold buffet items served to you behind glass by a member of staff. Sanitiser everywhere, masks available if you want them, hand gel in your room, temperature checked on way in and whilst there.

The staff here totally make the holiday, they are so nice, no "favourites" like I have seen at some hotels on past holidays. Every one treated the same whether new or returning customers, which was really lovely.

25 min walk from old town, 1 hour 20 walk from Manavgat. Nice prom for jogging just outside the door, which we did a few mornings before sunrise, would highly recommend it was lovely.

Sectioned off part of beach for hotel guests only, the guy down there also very nice, very helpful and polite. Drinks and ice creams also available at the beach for free and free sunbeds. (I have seen other people saying you have to pay for them but you do not).

Absolutely lovely time, would love to thank all the staff we personally dealt with but I can't remember names, knew I should have made a note! They were all so nice anyway, please pass on our thanks to all. 🇹🇷🥂

This was a quick book as several other holidays were cancelled and overall this was a very good stay.

We arrived evening time and were warmly welcomed, shown around and taken to our room. We booked a jacuzzi room and whilst the room itself was an adequate size for the week, the terrace and jacuzzi area was huge. It was awesome. We were glad of this space as the sun beds around the pool were all taken very early in the day, everyday. We also can’t abide smoking and whilst inside the buildings people couldn’t, sadly they did by the pool and beach.

The waiting staff were excellent - very attentive and the managers were keen to hear your views and always caring. This was excellent.

With covid of course things change, there was always a supply of sanitizer, wipes and staff all wore masks.

The all inclusive had limits, such as times for ice cream/cake and the drinks were local alcohol not premium brands but we knew this beforehand.

The food was pretty good all week with lots of choice. You had to point to what you wanted from the salad bar and the desserts but that was fine. Cooked meats and things for breakfast were brought to the table for you. There was plenty of choice for salad, desserts and cheeses.

We enjoyed the a la carte restaurant once during our stay too.

We did have to ask several times for water, tea bags and powdered milk for the room which weren’t refilled daily for some reason. Tea and coffee in the room was via paper cup which did seem bizarre given there were glasses for other drinks!

The rain shower didn’t work properly and the shower plug was very slow to drain away water and was almost flooded most times.

The hotel is located in Side which is a very busy resort. The hotel is set back a little and there is a small walk to the beach and they have a marked area for guests of this hotel.

You can walk for miles as we did most nights and even with Covid, the walk ways were very busy. Several huge hotels were totally closed, but others seemed pretty busy.

The ruins in Side are a must see and it’s a great walk from the hotel round to them.

All in all a very decent stay, the room terrace made it for us thankfully as it was busy everyday by the pool. Staff excellent. There is a small gym, hairdressers and shop in the hotel but many shops around the hotel too.

The bed was hard and no choice in pillows but the single (x2) thin duvet covers were a good option.

Side as a place too busy for us so we won’t return but we enjoyed our stay.

Based on our previous experience at the Barut Andiz in 2019, this was the only hotel that we were confident would be a suitable place to take an overseas holiday during the current pandemic. Thankfully our decision was absolutely spot on!

From the minute we arrived at the front door until the moment we were in a taxi on the way back to the airport we were treated like royalty.

There are excellent precautions in place with regards to C19 - temperature taken before entering the property, sanitizing stations at all entrances and exits, spotlessly clean throughout, occupancy numbers reduced to ensure safe distancing, table service in the restaurant which works really well.

To reiterate what I have said in my previous review, the food is amazing, the drinks are good quality and in plentiful supply.

On this occasion we opted for a standard double room, this was more than adequate for our needs and was just as comfortable as the suite we had stayed in last year.

In the past we have returned to a hotel and have been disappointed at our decision as standards have dropped, it was so refreshing to see that it was not the case here and we also appreciated being recognized as returning customers rather than just have our custom taken for granted.

I cannot praise Ergin and Savas enough for all of their hard work, they should be immensely proud of their entire team, there is not one single member of staff who is not genuinely concerned that everything within their control meets their guests’ expectations, nothing is too much trouble for anyone.

We are so pleased that we decided to take this break and are very much looking forward to returning again next year.

I think this place is amazing because of the staff. From reception, waiters, kitchen staff, bar staff and pool staff, they are all happy and friendly and take the time to get to know you.
We were a bit apprehensive of booking a holiday with the covid restrictions in place but there was no need to be. This place has got it covered. Tables all socially distant, hdo when people help themselves at buffet service.
Sunbeds around the pool are available up to about 10am and then it's a bit hit and miss. Half the pool is in shade until about 11.30 so these are the ones that are still available at 10am. The ones on the other side are gone by 7am. Sunbeds are really comfy with a foamand sanitizer everywhere, and all staff wearing masks. Everything is clean and spotless. The main restaurant is now waiter service but we thought that made the place better as food preparation was better and you didn't get foods mixed in with other foods as you cover on them they also tilt at the back and under the knee so made me sleep every afternoon...... not the alcohol honest.
We didn't use the gym as you had to book the day before but you could have a 2 hour slot and just for the two of you.
The rooms are clean and tidy. Beds comfy with two single duvets on a big bed which we haven't experienced before but is a great idea. Maid service every day and as said before, cleaning is excellent.
The hotel is located about 20min walk from the harbour where the temple of Apollo is located and loads of bars and restaurants. It's a nice flat stroll along the promenade. It was nice to have all that on the doorstep and the bars and restaurants are very friendly. We went there a few nights and also in the day shopping.
A special thanks to Sipan, Mehmet, Emrat and Osman in the restaurant and Gokhan who does the drinks around the pool who is very funny.

We’re are currently in tui blue barut andiz, arriving just 2 days ago, a little apprehensive on the Covid situation. But this hotel is excellent! If you are thinking of visiting then please do. The hotel staff wear masks but guests do not have to. The gym needs to be booked to limit just 2 people. All areas are cleaned regularly. The food and drinks are outstanding. There is still buffet available but the chef will serve it to you from behind a screen. Personally I much prefer this as really don’t like food that’s been turned over by other guests. Most of the meals are waiter served. All staff are fabulous and so kind and courteous, they really go above and beyond. Entertainment was great last nite and there’s good selection of activities if you want it. Side town is just a short walk away but some bars have not reopened. Sadly this virus has greatly changed most people’s lives! Thank you to all staff! You’re doing an amazing job ❤️

We were the first guests back on 3rd August and stayed for 2 weeks. When stepping off the bus the amazing customer service started. This was lead by the manager Ergin who made us feel extremely welcome.

We were then shown the facilities by Savas who gave us gold star service throughout our stay, he went over and beyond throughout our whole two weeks to make us feel comfortable. We felt extremely comfortable with all of the COVID measures in place. The hotel was immaculately clean, our rooms were cleaned to a great standard, you could always see staff cleaning around the hotel. Savas was always available to talk to his guests and looked after us extremely well.

The restaurant team did a fantastic job considering the changes to hotels due to COVID. They were very well lead by Hasan who ensured everyone was given the best service. Our regular waiters Murat and Osman gave us a great experience at lunchtime and dinner, taking or orders quickly and remembering what drinks we liked. They were both extremely friendly and welcoming. Our water glasses were never dry, all of the waiters were fantastic at making sure we had a drink. The food was exceptional and they team did a great job at keeping the menu fresh every day, it was different everyday. The app was easy to use and meant paper was not being wasted.

The A La Carte meal was amazing, the waiter Nuremetti gave Michelin star service. He greeted you with a smile during your whole visit, very friendly. Again he ensured your visit was excellent, the tables were nicely presented. The food was excellent.

Ferhat and the other bar staff were very friendly. During the evening, Songul was very quick at going round and taking orders so you always had a drink.

Sergen and Dipak ran the evening entertainment and did a fantastic job considering they used 3 different languages!

It was an amazing trip to Barut Andiz, the hotel is extremely well run by Ergin and Savas. It was our first trip to Turkey, We will definitely go back at some point in the future and look forward to it.

There are always people that get up at stupid o’clock to reserve sunbeds, despite being asked not to. We always managed to get beds after breakfast. As someone commented, some people are territorial! The beach is a few minutes walk, no reserving if sun beds there.
